"Dr. Westphalen has been my son's doctor since birth for 18 years. Has been seeing everytime he has any medical problems and has been fantastic to him. I give a 5 star rating for the doctor. However, it's a 1 star rating for the reception as the phone number is very difficult to get through as it doesn't take you to a person to talk to and asks you to email. And if you need something done urgently, there is no communication and correspondence from the reception email to you. It is frustrating to be told that the doctor has been told about your message but no time line given as to when you can expect a reply to your enquiry and this is after several emails to the reception. I have gone to the doctor's office a number of times, and the times I've been there, after people check in to the reception, they wait for the doctor. I don't know how the reception could be that busy that she can't take phone calls. The reception procedures do need to change to make the communication process between patient and doctors more efficient, and it will make the patients feel that they are treated in a more humanly way, rather than be treated as an inconvenience."
"Good drs but horrible reception,they are soo lazy they sent you to voice message which they never return the call or either to email them no response,always seen receptionistonist on their computers browsing online clothes shopping or social media,which leads to why they dont bother to answet calls,they should change their reception staff and how its been managed"
"I met Dr Mark Westphalan back in 1991 when I had my first baby who was was born with multiple complex disabilities and issues. She survived 13 months. Longer than predicted (was only expecting days maybe weeks) and I thank Mark for being there and helping me. He supported me, listened to me, gave advice and we worked as team. He never spoke down to me or made me feel like I didn’t know what I was saying… I’m sure he learnt a little too from this case. Couldn’t of asked for a better paediatrician. A few years later in 1994 I had my son. No doctor would listen to me about his lung issues - not asthma not quite bronchitis. Mark treated him and problem solved."
"Is this a joke? Is this practice real? Why do they have a phone number listed if it only leads to a record message and no ons ever picks up. You are supposed to send an email with what you want. I want an appointment, and the email provided doesn't work. I tried every possible iteration to what I heard the email address is from the recorded message and non works. How hard is it to write the email address on your google page!"
