"Dr Forsyth lacks empathy, patience and compassion. My most recent appointment started with her saying "I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with you until after I got back from my holiday" and ended with the same sentiments. Which I felt was highly inappropriate and rude especially after my first ever appointment with her months ago where she stated that I was a difficult patient and that hospital staff would not have the patience to deal with me and how I respond/have reactions to iron infusions (which she felt the need to tell me again during our second appointment). I understand that I am a rare case. I apologise for being the "inconvenience" I am. Trust me, I wish things were different too and I could recieve the medical treatment I need without complications. However, I deserve to be treated with respect and understanding. From her tone of voice to the way she delivers her message it is clear she does not have the patience to work with her patients. I am absolutely gobsmacked that I have recieved this treatment from a medical professional. Perhaps Dr Forsyth could use some empathy and trauma informed care training so no other patient's need to experience what I have. This is the first time I've ever made a complaint about a specialist and I am shocked I've had to."
"Dr Richard Blennerhassett is a lovely Dr. Answers all questions and gives a honest and thorough explanation to your situation. I left feeling much more informed of my treatment and reasons for it. I highly recommend Dr Blennerhassett and Central Coast Haematology."
"I found Dr Richard Blennerhassett, Central Coast Haematology, to be professional, respectful and very thorough in his approach and treatment of my current medical condition. In fact, he was patient and empathetic listening to my own concerns, and with following tests, scientifically pinpointed an existing problem hidden to me. He explained my condition and his findings clearly and with empathy. I feel very confident to continue under his professional care and expertise. I am much more relaxed and very thankful."
"Very nice doctor, she really knows her stuff, very informative :)"
"My 80 yo father has been treated for AML with Dr Cecily Forsyth for 12 months. The decision to engage her was through research and recommendations. Cecily has piloted Dad through many an obstacle associated with Blood disorders & associated Chemotherapy, with much professionalism, knowledge, experience & compassion. Excellent communicator, without pulling a punch."
