Welcome to Roots Yoga, located in the scenic suburb of Hurstbridge, Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we offer a unique and enriching experience that combines the practice of yoga with a deep appreciation for the natural world.
At Roots Yoga, we recognize and honor the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders, both past and present, and acknowledge the rich stories, culture, and traditions of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Founded in 2020 by Lauren, Roots Yoga was born out of a desire to create a sanctuary amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic. Along the banks of the Birrarung, Lauren discovered a profound connection between yoga and nature, which has become the very essence of Roots Yoga.
Our mission is to guide you in connecting with yourself through movement, introspection, and the lens of the natural world. Our nurturing bodywork practice is centered around releasing tension in both the physical and energy body, allowing you to find balance and harmony within.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, Roots Yoga offers personally tailored yoga and movement sessions to help you achieve your individual movement goals. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to providing guidance and support as you embark on your yoga journey.
