Welcome to Lyrebird Playtime, an establishment and point of interest located at 43R Partridge Crescent, Carrum Downs, Australia. At Lyrebird Playtime, we are dedicated to meeting the ever-changing needs of the Carrum Downs, Skye, and Sandhurst communities. Our goal is to bring our community together through new and exciting ideas.

As a not-for-profit, community-based organization, Lyrebird Playtime is overseen by a diverse range of volunteers on our Board of Management. Together with our Centre Manager, we work as a team to establish policies and procedures that ensure we provide viable programs that are relevant to the growing needs of our community.

We offer a wide range of programs and activities for all ages, including education, computer classes, children's services, recreation activities, support groups, and information services. Our Centre is supportive and inclusive to all members of the community.

Located within the Frankston City Council, Lyrebird Playtime is part of the South East Victorian Region of Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) and is a Learn Local Provider. Our childcare services are licensed and approved for Childcare Subsidy, complying with all relevant regulations.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and work tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance of child safety within our Centre and the broader community.

We are dedicated to protecting children from abuse and neglect, promoting a child safe environment, and maintaining their wellbeing. Our Child Safe Policy ensures mandatory reporting responsibilities are upheld to protect children from all forms of abuse.

We maintain clear boundaries between children and employees, volunteers, and the community to ensure children's safety. We promote cultural safety for Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with disabilities. Discriminatory practices are not tolerated at Lyrebird Playtime.

Our employees undergo continuous professional development to ensure they can recognize and respond appropriately to situations of abuse and neglect. We believe in empowering children to express their views and thoughts on matters that affect them and encourage them to speak up if they feel unsafe.
