Led by our dedicated Director, Catherine Hustler, who has over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Teddy's Little Treasures offers care for children aged 18 months to school age. Catherine works hands-on in our classrooms, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Our environment is designed to support happy educators and happy children, providing a safe, clean, and engaging space for learning and play. Our qualified educators are committed to meeting the individual needs and interests of each child, creating personalized learning experiences.

We understand the importance of early language and literacy development, which is why we participate in the '12 Books for Twelve Months' program. This program, designed by local speech pathologists and early childhood teachers, focuses on developing language and literacy skills in preparation for school. Our preschoolers also enjoy the ELLA program, where they learn simple words in Italian and enhance their literacy skills through the use of Reading Eggs.

Physical activity is a priority at Teddy's, and we incorporate NSW Health's 'Munch and Move' program into our daily routine. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, our external sports programs are currently suspended until further notice. However, we aim to provide opportunities for children to engage in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Nutrition is a vital aspect of a child's development and well-being, and we take immense pride in providing high-quality home-cooked meals at Teddy's Little Treasures. Our menu planning follows the guidelines set by NSW Health's Munch & Move program, ensuring that children receive a wide variety of nutritious food. We cater to religious, cultural, and allergy requirements on an individual basis, and our kitchen is strictly nut-free.

At Teddy's, we celebrate each child's birthday with a little party and a specially baked cake by our in-house cook. Our planned menus are displayed in the classrooms, and parents are kept informed about their children's eating habits. Rest assured, our cook holds a Food Handling Safety certification and the kitchen complies with regular health inspections.

We have carefully scheduled meal times, ensuring that no child goes more than three hours without being offered food. Milk is also provided daily, and fresh water is available throughout the day for refilling water bottles.
