About the Business
Welcome to Van Dyk's Swimming Academy, located at 241 Para Road, Greensborough, Australia. Our establishment is a point of interest that focuses on promoting health and providing a quality learning experience for all ages.
At Van Dyk's Swimming Academy, we pride ourselves on maintaining excellent water quality. Our mineral water swimming pool, known as the "Magna pool," uses naturally produced chlorine, with additional free chlorine added if necessary by our automated system. The water is continuously treated and monitored by a computer-controlled system, ensuring a clean and safe swimming environment. To further enhance cleanliness, we utilize UV and ozone sanitation systems. This unique combination of water treatment systems not only provides exceptional water quality but also creates a more gentle experience for your eyes, skin, hair, and nails. You will notice a subtle difference in both the smell of the pool and the way your skin feels after swimming compared to a typical chlorinated pool.
When you visit Van Dyk's Swimming Academy, you'll find convenient amenities to enhance your experience. Our carpark is asphalt and concreted, and we have a ramp for easy access to our reception and waiting room area. Pool entry can be made via a ladder or safely over the edge. For your convenience, baby change tables are available both poolside and in the change rooms.
We understand the importance of convenience in today's busy world, which is why we have developed a mobile application to streamline your experience with us. Our app allows you to easily sign up for classes, use makeups, check your student's attendance, and more - all on-the-go! Simply visit your app store, download the app, and use the organization code "vandyksswimming" to get started.
Additionally, we have created an illustrated book specifically designed to help children prepare for their first swimming lesson. This resource is available to further support your child's swimming journey.
At Van Dyk's Swimming Academy, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. While we do not currently have hoists or wheelchair accessible change rooms, we are continuously working towards improving our facilities to accommodate everyone's needs.
Join us at Van Dyk's Swimming Academy and experience the difference of our exceptional water quality, convenient amenities, and dedication to providing a holistic swimming experience.

Reviews
"The pool is okay, we come here for our child and have a great instructor. Two stars for the atmosphere and the general culture. Most of their instructors are seen yelling at students, which might not be a great environment for the little ones to feel relaxed and learn skills. We have been to bigger pools and the noise levels aren’t a fraction of what it is here. It would be great if management could review this with their swim instructors to create a conducive learning environment for the children."
"Teachers were great, but when reception staff referred to my daughter as a ‘stubborn little shit’ we took our money elsewhere. The schools’ owner wouldn’t even refund us the money we had already paid for classes that were owed - over $200 lost, but good riddance to a swim school that condones this kind of behaviour from its staff."
"Although the water quality is good and most of the teachers are good, the facilities and communication are completely woeful. We have been attending for 6 years and in that time there has been zero effort to improve and clean the facilities. Also I've found it very difficult to have calls and emails returned, or even receive basic communication without being there in person. For the cost of the lessons, I expect more."
"All about the money lack of customer service and a astablishment that is full of terms and conditions. There are fees for everything!! If u are a day late paying your fees then u get a highlighted note on your card just to let u know that you received a discount !! Your cards run out and they give you 6 days to pay. It's to logical to be 7 days, so u can pay when your there. When you call them to pay they don't answer the phone and then treat you like a criminal for paying a day late. if u are not carefull they stamp your card with extra lessons when u ask y they rectify it by drawing a box on your card. They say you can use make up lesions but there are never any available lessons that is convenient to you. If u ever want to change lessons they say you are on a waiting list and never get back to you. Really that's just to get you to go away and keep paying Facility's are run down and dirty. If a teacher is sick or not in there is no communication to who is replacing them. Allot of teaches have a lot of time off and fill ins are often. If you do have a problem don't expect a call back then they say just a list of excuses as to why they did not call. Overall most of the teaches are good but do your self a favour and only go with a leading teacher if you do book. I have now canceled my cards then got charged a $20.00 admin fee just too top it off. Once again just another way to pis off a customer. $20.00 was a small price to pay to leave and not put up with an establishment that puts fees before business."
"Great place, friendly knowledgeable staff. Took my 6 month old there to learn to swim, it was amazing. A little more expensive than watermark, but worth it."
