"Be very careful sending your child to this school. They are fully committed to crazy woke ideologies. The deceptive naming of their class structures are not what you'd expect, for example "healthy decision making class" which sounds good on the surface is actually a class dedicated to indoctrination of various ideas that teach victimhood rather than resilience as well as confusing rhetoric about trans rights and other lbgtqi+ ideologies. The writing of history is twisted with extreme left wing bias such as, all white people are evil, and men are the cause of much of the worlds issues.l etc etc. If you agree with this type of education, Norwood is the place for you. If not, consider other options and beware what you children learn as they will dictate our future"
"Surprisingly uncaring school! Teaching staff take no action to investigate and squash student bullying. Principal does not respond to communications. Assistant principal and level coordinators wipe their hands of all responsibility. Changed to another school in pure frustration. However, remain very concerned for other victims while bully’s behaviour not corrected."
"Such dedicated, hardworking teachers, who are extremely accommodating, adaptable, catering to the requirements of the individual student, (not a one size fits all approach). An exceptional wellbeing team, including a devoted disability inclusion coordinator back up by a team of nurturing aides. Together, you all make such a positive difference in our children's lives. Your school infrastructure improvements look amazing so far, thanks to some recent funding, well worth investing your child's academic future. Four years ago, we moved to Ringwood North so my child could be closer to the school and we have no regrets. Well done Norwood Secondary College for having such a wonderful reputation in our local community, keep up the fantastic work!"
"Good afternoon fellow review writers, My daughter has attended this school since 2019 and has been bullied horrifically by other students. This is disgusting and I think this school should do more about their bullying policy. They seem to care a lot more about your child's uniform rather than their mental health. My daughter visited the "wellbeing" space and was rather underwhelmed with the support she received. The bullying is still continuing as of today and I am extremely disappointed with the way the school has handled this situation. As of today I am not impressed with school's policy's and do not recommend sending your child to this school. Regards, Samantha"
"This school is on the way up. The principle is positive and possess great vision and is making a mark with many projects to improve and modernise this tired school. Students have great opportunities and are supported. Teachers are reasonable. My mother is a teacher therefore I am quite particular and there is always room for improvement for the best interests of the students. This is a challenge in all schools across Victoria. So far my children have loved attending and participating at this school. They have made solid friendships and are achieving brilliant results. Parents also need to support their child's education and encourage them to exceed. I highly recommend Norwood. As a family we made the right choice."
