She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the prestigious University of Jordan in 2009, followed by formal training at Jordan University Hospital. Dr Merie underwent specialized radiation oncology training at St George, Liverpool, and Campbelltown Hospitals, including a fellowship training in thoracic malignancies.

In 2019, Dr Merie became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) and was appointed as a staff specialist in radiation oncology at Liverpool and Campbelltown hospitals before joining our team at Icon Cancer Centre Concord.

Dr Merie's dedication to clinical research and medical education is evident through her involvement in medical student and registrar education as a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She has co-authored several articles in esteemed national and international medical publications and has presented her work at various oncology conferences across Australia. Dr Merie is an active member of prominent medical associations, including the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG).

With a broad range of clinical experience, Dr Merie specializes in solid tumor malignancies, with a special interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, and hematological malignancies.
