About the Business
Welcome to Kingswim Mornington, a premier learn to swim facility located in Mornington, Australia. Our purpose-built swimming pool is conveniently situated on Catherines Court, just off Mornington-Tyabb Rd and nearby Civic Reserve. As an establishment, health, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to providing exceptional swimming programs for all ages.
At Kingswim Mornington, we are proud to have a team of passionate and experienced instructors who are committed to teaching the important life skill of swimming. Liz, one of our instructors, joined Kingswim in 2010 and has a deep love for the water. She takes joy in witnessing the wonder on babies' faces as they discover the joy of swimming, as well as sharing her knowledge of swimming and water safety with older children. Liz's honesty, organization, reliability, and creativity make her a valued member of our team.
Another valued member of our team is Jess, who has been with Kingswim since 2015. With a strong passion for working with children, Jess finds immense satisfaction in teaching them valuable life skills. She takes pride in seeing the happiness and pride on children's faces when they achieve a new skill, no matter how big or small. Outside of work, Jess enjoys being creative through activities such as crocheting.
At Kingswim Mornington, we make learning to swim simpler for the whole family. Our swimming programs are tailored to each child's ability in the water, starting from as early as 12 weeks old and progressing to squad level swimmers. Whether your child is just starting out or becoming a swimming expert, we have the perfect swimming lessons for them.
We highly recommend regular weekly lessons, as practice makes perfect. To enhance your experience at Kingswim Mornington, we offer a free start-up kit that includes a membership card for easy access to your lessons and a free pair of Kingswim branded bathers, suitable for different parts of Australia.
Flexibility is key at Kingswim Mornington, as we understand that families may not want to wait until the start of a new school term to begin lessons. You can start anytime, and we will be ready to welcome you.
Safety is our top priority, which is why we require all parents to be in attendance during learn to swim lessons. This allows parents to witness their child's progress firsthand and ensures a safe learning environment.
Don't just take our word for it, hear what our customers have to say! One parent shared their amazing experience at our first bub swim session, where they learned valuable techniques for holding their baby in the water. Another parent praised our Baby Play lessons for familiarizing their young baby with the pool environment. Our small class sizes and professional teachers have received positive feedback from many parents.
At Kingswim Mornington, we also acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to their cultures and elders, both past and present.
Join us at Kingswim Mornington and experience the joy of swimming while gaining valuable skills for life. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our facility.

"Unbelievable, they should have let us know if the baby group is cancelled. 2. No receptionist attended at entry at the time we walked in."
"Am very unhappy with King swim. Our son was kept in the same class for 6mths. After we approached staff they moved him up to the next level. Who knows when they would have assessed him if we had not made an issue of it. Then found out that their policy for make up lessons had changed. Not communicated at all just told it was posted on an app that they introduced start of the new year. Very quick to charge, and at times over charge, but unwilling to honour make up lessons. My son was sick and missed 2 consecutive weekly lessons but was only allowed to make up one as new policy states only 1 make up lesson per month. So I'm guessing I should take my child to class even with Covid?? Very disappointing. Will be looking elsewhere for better customer service and swim instructors."
"After being with King Swim Mornington for a number of years we went elsewhere for a school holiday program and realised almost immediately that we had been deceived the entire time. A large majority of the staff at Kings appear to have very poor teaching skills, lack experience and enthusiasm, or any real drive for teaching the kids. Not all of the teachers were bad, however many of them were so young they were picked up by their parents after classes. Not a big deal, but I pay for experience and knowledge and If I wanted to pay for my kids to kick they feet on the side of a pool for 15 minutes of the class, I would have stayed home and saved the money and time. I can only assume younger staff are cheaper to employ. When we requested an skill assessment they replied, that “we can’t assess him to be moved to the next class as we don’t have enough staff, we’ll try next month”. They appear to deliberately delay your children’s progress to keep them in lower level group, so they can make more money and prolong their learning ‘experience’. One particular teacher constantly and deliberately splashed my son in his face to get his attention, when she was frustrated, making him not wanting to return. Another wasn’t watching my daughter on her first and only lesson and she slipped under the water for 2 seconds before I almost jumped in to intervene. The classes are crowded, 4 to a lane in the kids pool and they are a hassle to reschedule make up classes, but ever so quick to debit your account, when you least expect it. I couldn’t wait to pull my son out as I couldn’t bare to see my money wasted or him not progressing past the kids pool, just because they don’t have room in other classes. I swam here as a child and unfortunately cannot recommend them again. Save your money and your children’s life by taking them to a centre that is more concerned about teaching than making money. Sadly on asking around my opinion is not alone. Do your research and travel further if needed, as we are. You won’t regret the improved teaching standards and level of care you receive."
"The single star is for customer service and how difficult King Swim make it to cancel or have make up lessons. The instruction was adequate, but certainly not worth all the obstacles encountered trying to cancel."
"Very poor customer service in regards to their payment policies. They were happy to take my registrations fees for 3 children and then surprise me with a "policy" a month later, yet it's a policy that they fail to produce when asked for and expect patrons to abide by. Even their head office failed to produce the "policy" when I asked. Head office explained I would get a phone call the next business day, it's now been 3 business days and still no phone call."
