"The food was fine and priced in a range you would expect. It was quite and a nice atmosphere to at however an issue arose where I was double charged where the server told me the card was declined when this wasn't the case. Without the time to check I paid in cash. When contacting the restaurant after they appeared helpful however wasn't reach out to after the call to provide details for them to check. A pretty fine venue in all but I'd make sure I wouldn't be in a rush to go anywhere when paying."
"Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating - we popped in to escape the rain and what a happy coincidence that we did, it was so lovely. Great beer menu and delicious food!"
"We were in the mood for a pub feed and this was a place in the area we hadn't tried. The pub was not busy on Saturday night and dining room was half full. I could see that outside there's alfresco area with an open fire. We ordered truffle arancini as a starter and had parmagiana and miso roasted eggplant for mains. Arancini was nice. Came with tomato sauce The parmagiana had a nice crumb but needed sauce as it got very dry shortly. The Miso eggplant was pretty mediocre and the veg that supported the base had very little flavour which contrasted with the strange flavour of the egg plant. I could taste a hint of miso but there was something else that didn't taste like miso and wasn't right. I can't pinpoint it but yes I don't like it. When did miso egg plant become a goto for pubs to have vegetarian option on the menu. I've had this last week at another place and it was also average The dessert was like a chocolate fondant with raspberry sauce. It was nice enough. Overall the mains were plain and I might come back for a drink as it's got a cozy area. A quick stop before shows at Seymour theatre"
"Awesome place for dinner especially after a performance at the Seymour centre. Kitchen was open till 9pm on the Tuesday night we were there. Mushroom burger was very tasty and the steak was Cooked well. Fish and chips were crispy and filling. I loved th large selection of beers, I really enjoyed my beerfarm hazy IPA."
"The Duck Inn Pub and Kitchen for us was a hidden gem. We were scouring google one rainy Friday night in search of a steak and also somewhere dog friendly and stumbled across this. In the back streets of Chippendale, this place looks like your typical heritage pub and inside reminds us of an English one, compete with high benches and leather couches. There’s also outdoor section at the rear of the pub that can certainly host a crowd. It felt warm inside with its atmosphere and a good crowd of an older demographic. We also love that the pub is dog friendly, in fact a well behaved dog even sat on a couch. It would be great to be able to purchase doggie snacks. Their seasonal menu has great food. We had a nicely cooked steak with veggies as well as one of their poke salads. We did find the food was quite slow to come out, however. As we saw other food passing by, we were impressed by some of the other options like their Prawn linguine, crispy pork and pan fried salmon and keen to try those. It is a pub so it’s hardly surprising that there is a great selection of craft beers and beers on tap including tasting paddles which makes for a great way to try a range of varieties. Plenty of wine one and spirits too. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here."
