With a capacity to enroll up to 148 students, Nganboo Borron School is dedicated to offering specialized educational programs tailored to the specific needs of students with disabilities and high support requirements. As part of the 2022-23 State Budget, our school has received a share of $527.233 million allocated for the development of new schools, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to provide an exceptional learning environment.

Enrollment at Nganboo Borron School is subject to specific criteria, and students must meet these requirements in order to be admitted. Prior to enrolling, your child will need to undergo a comprehensive assessment, with the results of this assessment being a crucial factor in supporting their enrollment. Typically, students are assessed during their early school years or at the kindergarten level.

While students with disabilities, including physical disabilities, have the right to attend their local mainstream government school, Nganboo Borron School is specifically designed for students with diagnosed intellectual disabilities that align with our enrollment criteria. Our students will have access to modern learning areas equipped with air conditioning and heating, ensuring a comfortable and conducive learning environment. Outside, shade sails have been installed to provide sun protection during outdoor activities. Additionally, we have designed our school to be environmentally sustainable and easy to manage.

Throughout the planning and design process, we have collaborated with local Traditional Owners, represented by the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, to ensure that our school respects and acknowledges the cultural heritage of the land.
