One of our standout programs is the meal mates program, which has been running since 2013. This program aims to connect our volunteers with clients in a way that fosters friendship and care. Through this program, we have found that both the volunteer and the client benefit greatly from the meaningful connections formed.

From our humble beginnings at the Camden Hospital, Camden Meals on Wheels has grown and evolved. We now have our own food preparation and storage facility on Little Street in Camden. Our dedicated team provides a range of healthy and nutritious food options, catering to various dietary requirements. With our diverse menu, we are confident that we have something to appeal to every taste, even the most selective eaters!

At Camden Meals on Wheels, we believe in caring for the community of Camden beyond just providing meals. Many of our clients have referred to us as their extended family. We look after each other, enjoying social gatherings and checking in on one another just to say hello. Our mission at Camden Meals on Wheels is to enable frail older people and younger people with disabilities, as well as their carers, to remain in their own homes and enjoy a level of independence that suits their individual needs. While aged care or other support may be needed in the future, Meals on Wheels provides a way for individuals to stay in the comfort of their familiar home environment for as long as possible.
