In line with our commitment to sustainability, we are proud to announce the successful launch of the weekly food and garden bin service in Knox. This initiative has already made a significant impact, with Knox residents halving the amount of rubbish going to landfill and diverting a staggering 1900 tonnes of food scraps and other organics to be transformed into compost. By implementing this service, we are taking a step towards creating a greener and more environmentally conscious community.

As an institution deeply invested in the growth and development of our community, we are excited to host the Women on the Go annual business networking event on 14 September. This event not only provides a platform for local businesswomen to connect and collaborate but also supports the overall economic growth of Ferntree Gully and its surrounding areas. We are also proud to highlight the efforts of a Ferntree Gully family of seven who are actively reducing waste in their household. With the implementation of the weekly food and garden service by the Council, this family is making small changes that have a significant impact on reducing waste. By turning food and garden waste into compost, we are not only creating a healthier environment but also inspiring others to follow suit.
