Originally catering to the Dockers and Wharfies who worked in the nearby Mort Bay and White Bay industrial areas, The Cricketers Arms gained a reputation as one of Balmain's more colorful pubs, attracting a diverse crowd of individuals.

After undergoing renovations in 1996, the pub was transformed into The Monkey Bar, enjoying a successful period before changing ownership once again in 2015. It was then restored to its original name, The Cricketers Arms, paying homage to its rich history.

Today, The Cricketers Arms Hotel continues to be a beloved gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The Cucina Crix kitchen serves up classic pub fare with an Italian flair, offering a delicious and satisfying dining experience.
