"Always a great pub vibe at the Oxford. Went to watch the FIFA women's World cup final and was surprised to find it wasn't super crowded. Everything you'd expect at a local pub and more"
"Not a bad spot and the staff are very friendly, but the atmosphere is dull. 5* staff, including security. 1* atmosphere. The outdoor area has worlds brightest festoon lighting - it's offensive. The management obviously have zero idea about atmosphere. And when I asked to put the AFL on 1 of the 6 TV's in the bar, I was told "we're not really an AFL venue but I will ask the manager.... I mean, you have two AFL teams in this town - get over it! ...1 of 6 TV's. Only takes 1 flog to make a difference. Won't be back."
"Great vibes here DOGS ARE VERY WELCOMED HERE ALSO!!!! Everyone is so friendly, very welcoming people and alot of different personalities. There's a gaming room, pool table, kitchen is upstairs but can order from the main bar. There is 3 bars all up, there's function rooms and an outdoor area with booths and a massive screen to watch FOOTY on. Live DJs on Saturday nights."
"This is a lovely old pub that's had a nice renovation inside. The exterior is quite regal and a bit Victorian looking but inside has a bright and airy vibe, especially up in the dining area. Lots of wood in white tones combined with plenty of plush throw pillows add to the light feel of the place. They have a fairly extensive cocktail menu, for a local pub, and a standard array of beers. Nothing fancy though, it's definitely not a tap house. The bistro menu includes all the pub classics like burgers, steak, schnitzel and pizza/ pasta dishes. However, everything has a gentrified and taken beyond the standard that you'd get at the local RSL. The food is excellent. It's pricey for a pub, but worth it. It can get very loud at times, and you might need to shout a bit to be heard in a Friday or Saturday night. If you're a sports fan, you'll find plenty of TVs upstairs and betting spots down stairs. You can also book areas upstairs for private functions."
