"Live locally and have never been there before so myself and a friend decided to meet up for a few beers but we won’t be doing so ever again. The prices of beer were through the roof much higher compared to surrounding venues by far unless you are a member taking advantage obviously. The service was very poor half the time the bar maid was no where in sight? Did not try the food as we were broke after a few drinks and glad we didn’t after just looking at others reviews"
"Great local pub. Tasty food and good selection of beer. A little pricey but the atmosphere makes up for it. The upstairs balcony is a great place for a beer on a sunny afternoon."
"Good food and nice pub. Great Sunday roast ($24). Short staffed for a Sunday lunch. The Sunday roast beef was tasty and a good portion. Plenty of vegetables including kale and pak choy, good Yorkshire pudding , beef was tender with nice amount of gravy. Unfortunately it was served colder than room temperature - the roast must have been cooked in the morning and not reheated before serving. We saw the food was ready and sitting on the kitchen bench for some time before it was served to us. They only had one front of house staff serving everyone at 12.30pm on a Sunday. The pork Sunday roast was also delicious. Tender slices of pork with crackling. Lamb shoulder was tender and tasty. They have a different meat on rotation each Sunday for the roast The chicken souvlaki($22) was fantastic. Tender and well seasoned chicken thigh on skewers. The Greek salad had a variety of veggies and a tasty dressing. Pita was also warm and fresh The pub was well maintained and beautifully designed. The bathroom even had complimentary deodorant and tampons which was a thoughtful touch."
"One of the best pubs for a meal in the north shore. A little bit pricier than other pubs, but you definitely get value for money here. We ordered the schnitzel, which was cooked the perfection, crumbled well and chicken breast was nice and juicy! Fries are great too and it’s nice to have coleslaw and garden veggies on the side with sauce included. The other dish was the surf and turf, again, the meat was cooked to perfection and a proper medium rare. The prawns were on the smaller side, but still very tasty. Can’t go wrong with the broccolini too. The sauce was a bit overpowering, so we barely touched that, the steak is so good on its own you don’t even need the sauce."
