"I purchased a custom ring on the 8 Dec 2021 and received it on the 29 April 2022. I was told it would take around 6-8 weeks to make so the ring should have been completed mid Jan 2022. There were a number of issues along the way, none of which were advised to me proactively. I had to make numerous calls, follow ups myself and was starting to question Blackbox. Some of the issues advised were, customs was delayed, setter caught COVID, floods, and some of the diamonds ordered were the wrong size. In-between all of this I found it very difficult to reach the Perth store and felt out of the loop. On one occasion it took 3 days for the store to call me back as apparently the mobile phone broke and no one could call me back. I then sought compensation with the unreasonable delays and lack of communication. The General Manager & Owner both said they could not offer any discount due to the price rise in diamonds since my original order date. This is interesting because I got a quote on the same ring, same specs at a Carousel store and the price was the same. I did end up paying the original price for the ring, but still sought a small reimbursement via text to their Perth store. No response to date. I then sent a followup message asking for a free care plan which really wouldn't cost them anything. No response. I don't know why no one has responded yet, so unsure what action will be taken. I honestly wouldn't mind the delays as things do happen. But the communication was so poor, this is the reason for my review. Customers need to be informed along the way and if something is taking longer than expected then where is the service. It is lucky that I didn't need the ring for a wedding or some other special occasion, as the whole experience would have been ruined and cost potentially thousands on rushing around for another ring, or worse, changing the date of the venue. I have been dealing with Page (Perth Manager) and she has been somewhat helpful in the last 3-4 weeks with a couple of updates. I still need the valuation to be completed which would have taken another couple of weeks so I decided to collect the ring and arrange this for another time. I am generally very reasonable and don't post complaints such as these, but the whole experience wasn't the best to say the least and other customers may have experienced the same."
"I purchased a solid gold 40.5 g, 10k mens curb necklace on 26.11.2021 and paid a deposit, the customer service person (Donna) said it would take 5-6 weeks, making it available around around mid January, which was okay. Mid January had passed so I visited the Highpoint, store Maribyrnong to follow with Donna as to the status of necklace, as I had not received any communication. Donna advised due to COVID it would take a little longer as it was coming from Perth , WA. Okay, I accepted that. 2 weeks later still had not received any communication as too status of necklace, so I visited Highpoint store again, Donna advised they had sent the wrong necklace, same necklace but weighted 131g and almost 3x more the value , how they could make such a mistake I don't know, anyway Donna said they would have to start the process again another 5-6 weeks, should be due early March. Early March came, still no necklace so again I visited the Highpoint store to find out the status of the necklace. Donna advised it was sent from Perth and held up at courier's at Melbourne airport, okay, advised Donna if not here within a week I would like my deposit back and she agreed . On 18th March 2022 still had not heard anything, so again I visited the Highpoint store, Donna advised still held up with courier Melbourne airport. I did receive back my deposit and I advised Donna that when it eventually arrives I will still purchase it. It's now 13.4.2022, still not heard anything, in the mean time the price of gold has risen. Take care when dealing with this company, poor communication and nothing but excuses.......I'm writing this review to make customers aware, they need to get bad feedback as well as good."
"Donna was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I bought a custom ring for my wife and the service and attention to detail was exceptional, I live in QLD but that was no trouble, communication throughout the process was great and I always felt confident I was getting a great product even without being able to lay eyes on it. It arrived overnight express and my wife was 100% pleased with her new addition! I could not recommend them enough! Thanks again Donna!!"
