"If you want to do yourself a huge favour EAT HERE. Great atmosphere with the friendliest staff serving the BEST food. I had the corn fritters and when I come back, because I will, I will have them again...because they were so damn good."
"Overpriced, slow and basic meals. We went in for a Sunday breakfast and found this place on google with great reviews. The vibe of this cafe was nice upon entering and the barista was friendly as he welcomed us at the counter. We ordered our meals at the counter and I had to repeat my order a couple of times - this was fine. We ordered 1x smashed avo + halloumi, 1x bacon and egg roll with hash brown and halloumi and 2 small coffees. Our bill came to $63 with a 10% surcharge (very unnecessary for the service and food we got). The halloumi was $6.5 each! We waited 25-30 minutes for our meals and we’re disappointed as soon as we got them. First, we got our coffees, which tasted like it had been sitting there for 5 mins, it was luke warm, not hot and we finished this before the food came out. The bacon and egg roll was a muffin, which was extremely oily), the halloumi tasted deep fried and tasted like the oil used to fry chips, the poached egg was over cooked and the toast was soggy. We were hoping to have a beautiful Sunday brunch which left us extremely disappointed. We were definitely ripped off for what we ordered and the service we received. We will not be coming back. Overpriced, slow service and very basic meals I could’ve went to the shops and cooked this myself but we came for convenience and it definitely was not."
"What a great eat-in and take away experience. The food quality and menu options are very good. This is a traditional Cafe offering but does have inventive and rewarding menu options worth exploring - for instance the Corn Fritters and French Toast. The food and ingredients are fresh and cooked to meet expectations - delicious! The Shop has a great buzz and vibe. It's both unpretentious and welcoming and the staff are friendly and efficient. The coffee is excellent. I've been a repeat customer for over 10 years and will remain a loyal one. All my friends and family now go there."
"UPDATED* $2 extra for alternative milks!?! Unfortunately we won't be able to return for our morning coffee now that there has been a significant price increase directly impacting those who cannot/will not drink cow milk. If this is revoked we would be back in a heartbeat, but for now it's time to go elsewhere. Will definitely miss those delicious veggie wraps but $52 for two coffees and two wraps is more than we can afford. ***** Lovely and very busy cafe in Picnic Point. The veggie wrap and the baked goods are a must try. What makes this place special is the wonderful staff who are always so friendly and really make you feel welcome to be there."
"For the area it's quite a nice place for a breaky bite. A simple menu and the coffee is good. The Bacon and Egg Roll was not disappointing and the Corn Fritters with Avocado hitting the spot. A couple of tables outside to cater for small groups and a few internal dining options. Counter service, friendly without too much chatter. Some colourful locals make this a pleasant spot with the occasional noise from Picnic Point Road"
