"Very value for money French cafe. Happy with the price, the meals and the service. Thanks for having us. We enjoyed the time with our friends very much."
"I was really looking forward to trying a new local cafe but after my visit this morning I will not be coming back. I arrived at a time when there were no other customers present. I was expecting to have a nice peaceful dining experience so I was very disappointed when I had to listen to a chef in the kitchen loudly complaining and swearing about something. It made me feel very uncomfortable. They also couldn’t make my order and only had a limited menu. Despite this, I have to mention that the waitress was lovely and apologetic on behalf of the chef, but I feel awful that she has to deal with someone like that on the regular."
"The chef was yelling at and speaking rudely to the other staff members the whole time I was there, which made for a really unpleasant experience for me, and (I assume) for the staff. The kitchen is open, so everything he was saying was easy to hear. It was a completely unacceptable way to treat people, and I hope the staff members he was berating can find better work in one of the many other hospitality venues looking for staff at the moment. Edit to reply to the owners response: when I was there, there were approximately 10-12 people in the whole venue, who ordered at separate times. It wasn’t busy, so not high pressure in the kitchen. I currently work in hospitality, and have done for a number of years. I understand and have experienced a high pressure kitchen environment, including busy lunch rushes (which, as I said, was not the case during this experience) and I would never speak to the staff I am training like that. There’s no need for it. I would also immediately quit any job in which I was spoken to the way your chef was speaking to the young staff. As I say, there are so many hospitality venues looking for staff who treat their staff well."
"French cuisine influenced cafe. Staff was friendly and the meal was great. The big breakfast I ordered had a French twist to it (instead of using bread, they used crepes). The coffee was nice too (though I think the milk used wasn’t creamy enough). Overall great experience and would come back again."
"Visited this hidden little gem for brunch and I love it ! 5 stars food and coffee - I ordered a freshly baked duck quiche. It was so flavourful, the texture of the fillings of eggs and duck were just perfect, not too hard, not too soft. Perfect match with the fresh side salad. Cos’ the quiche was too good, so I ordered a small fresh onion soup to try, the cheesy toast is served as an accompaniment. The soup is one of the best ! It was perfectly seasoned, strong in onion taste but not greasy. Very tasty, highly recommended ! Their coffee has a big name in the neighborhood too. Very nice smooth soy cappuccino. Coffee smells rich and taste good. 5 stars services and environment - Welcoming and friendly owner and staff ! We were sitting outside at the garden, it’s cozy and nice atmosphere. Bolus points that this restaurant is on the entertainment book. I had a delightful experience. Will definitely return for their dinner cruises."
