"The experience we have had with South Coast Roofing and Plumbing, in specific Vaughan, has been extremely stressful. We thought it started well and they seemed professional but things quickly went downhill. 1. Most distressing was the hot water pipes they connected did not run to taps - but ran to an open pipe in roof, which caused severe damage to NEW plaster that was just installed. upon conversation with Vaughan he quickly denied responsibility and said that with an old house there is no guarantees where water goes. Off course anyone lay person can understand this is not true. A plumbers simple job is to make sure water goes where it needs to go. The hot water was not pressure tested by Vaughan, but a certificate was provided. We were out of pocket more than $4000 to fix all the damage that this faulty plumbing caused. (see pics) 2. Vaughan also installed new roofing and flashing. The flashing bangs in the wind day and night. 3. New kitchen tap installed, no water pressure at all. 4. pipe re-installed on roof, not correctly installed and siliconed which caused water to leak and damage bathroom. (see pics) The most distressing thing was not the damage and bad workmanship, the worst thing was the excuses and lack of responsibility. Apparently the biggest excuse Vaughan has is that he cannot assure things work properly on an old house ??? Such a week excuse - we have renovated and relocated houses as old as 100 years old and had perfect plumbing done. Proceed with caution. I am sure he will follow up this review with many explanations and excuses. According VBA none of these excuses are sufficient, the workmanship was bad, that's all."

From our first contact Vaughan was friendly, reliable and so helpful. Being a flat roof, photos of the stages of the job were taken, so it was easy to see the work in progress. Problems with the original roof structure were noticed and fixed, making the new roof an excellent finished job. At completion the site was left very clean and tidy. We are so delighted we chose Southcoast Roofing. Thanks again Vaughan and your team."
