About the Business
Welcome to Norwest Family Law, a trusted establishment and point of interest located in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales. Our compassionate support is backed by decades of experience, ensuring that we provide the best possible solutions for your family's unique needs.
At Norwest Family Law, we understand that each family is different, and we take the time to carefully consider what parenting arrangement will suit you and your children best. Whether it's entering into an agreement for periodic or lump sum support, obtaining a departure Order, or seeking other relief, we have the expertise to guide you through the process.
With extensive experience in assisting clients through Court proceedings, our team is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the legal system. We strive to make what may seem daunting at first much easier, providing clear advice and understanding every step of the way.
We believe in the power of proper advice for both parties, which often leads to settlements without the need for Court proceedings. However, if Court intervention becomes necessary, we have the knowledge and skills to represent your interests effectively.
For married couples who have been separated for at least 12 months and feel that the marriage has broken down irretrievably, divorce is an option we can explore together. In parenting matters, mediation is required to resolve any issues before seeking Court adjudication.
If your family has experienced domestic violence, it is crucial to discuss your concerns with us promptly. We will identify the necessary steps to ensure your safety and well-being.
Our services extend beyond family law matters. Whether you need a new Will due to marriage, separation, or the commencement of a de facto relationship, we can assist you. Additionally, when negotiation fails or becomes time-consuming, we offer mediation as an alternative pathway to resolve issues.
When it comes to estate matters, our team can guide you through the responsibilities of an executor, ensuring the proper collection, payment of debts, and distribution of assets to beneficiaries.
We also provide support in the areas of Enduring Guardianship and Power of Attorney, ensuring that your wishes are upheld even when you are unable to make decisions on your own.
Norwest Family Law is proud to offer comprehensive property conveyancing services. Whether you are purchasing a new property or selling an existing one, we will handle all aspects of the process with expertise and efficiency.

Reviews
"David is very professional. He is one of the most knowledgable lawyers I have come across. Would recommend his services to all."
"Really happy with David's work with splitting the house which turned out even better than I had hoped. He answered all my questions and didn't run up the bill by dragging my case out. He was very on top of everything from day one and was very transparent. Massive improvement from my experience at other law firms."
"A lack of communication, ghosting and simply put, wasting our time. He shows a complete sense of disregard, especially after it cost us very precious time when we could have gone elsewhere, if he had just said so rather than to ignore us after wasting one month of our time. He ensured us he would send a letter, after my wife and I were being threatened, extorted and defamed by family members who committed multiple crimes, including but not limited to serious acts of identity theft, yet we have just not heard from this lawyer ever since we met him. Who does this? He did not provide the service he promised, he obviously lacks communication skills but most importantly, if he is a family lawyer, he should really understand why this behaviour is just not acceptable not only in general, but especially in his profession. I thought about leaving this review for months but I know people deserve to know the truth, as this decision (of hiring a family lawyer) can make or break an individual. If you cannot do the job or do not want it, 'because your son is close friends with the local Westpac guy in charge (so now we have potential conflict of interest which, instead of clarifying this, you just ghosted us), just say so. I mention this personal detail, as I have every right to believe (thanks to the circumstances that the fraud by my family member was committed with the help of Norwest Westpac staff) that there is a link here or some sort of conflict of interest. This is unprofessional, wrong and wasting our time, without explanation, was not the solution. We waited 2 weeks to see you, spent hours providing details both via email and phone, only to meet you and have you say one thing, but not do it. It was really urgent for us. My wife is a lawyer too and she is just as appalled. This was an extremely difficult time for us already. As you can appreciate, it is almost impossible to open up and to trust someone when you are going through significant issues, especially when they are family members, but then to be treated like this by the person who is 'meant to help you', is just wrong on so many levels. All in all, a month wasted, and no explanation. I am grateful for only one thing here, and that is finding out all of this 'relatively' early (imagine he had done this months and months in?)."
"Be careful , I did all the follow up it felt like David was doing me a favour. Fees were very very high , I guess I have learnt a lot being my first time seeking a lawyers help , much wiser , the lawyers fees were taken off at my financial settlement , no invoice or courtesy communication until I requests an invoice , was advised an approximate amount but obviously the end bill was well over the mark. Just be very careful ."
"David and Rishika take a careful and measured approach to handling delicate matters. They don't charge for a lot of miscellaneous things. With their advice I avoided going down unproductive, possibly expensive, paths. Highly recommended."
