Spanning over 30 hectares, Ballam Park boasts two regional playground areas, open spaces, and sporting fields including a top-notch athletics track, AFL, soccer, and cricket facilities. Whether you're looking for a fun day out or a place to engage in your favorite sport, Ballam Park has something for everyone.
In addition to its recreational amenities, Ballam Park is also home to the historic Ballam Park Homestead, a museum showcasing the rich history of the region. Managed by the Frankston Historical Society, this 1850s homestead provides a fascinating glimpse into the past.
One of the highlights of Ballam Park is its newly renovated $3 million play space in Karingal. Designed to complement the existing Ballam Bumps playground, this state-of-the-art facility offers improved accessibility and enhanced amenities for families. Children from toddlers to 12-year-olds can engage in a variety of play styles and equipment, including Frankston's first water play feature.
Speaking of water play, the water jets in the play space are activated by pressing the button on the blue stands. Each cycle runs for four minutes, activating different jets at different times to keep the excitement going. The water play area operates between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. during the summer season and year-round.
For dog owners, Ballam Park offers designated areas for off-leash exercise. The Dog Agility Park features a fully fenced space with various obstacles for dogs to enjoy. They can weave, dodge, climb, balance, crawl, and jump over hurdles, providing them with a great way to exercise and socialize with other pets. The park is made entirely of recycled materials, aligning with Council's commitment to sustainability.
Sports enthusiasts will be delighted to know that Ballam Park Athletics Track has been recently renewed to comply with all current World Athletics Standards. This $1.22 million project, funded by the Council in partnership with the State Government, ensures that the track meets the requirements for hosting athletics competitions in the region. The track is widely used by local athletics clubs, schools, and the community.
At Ballam Park, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all visitors. We acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners of the land, the Bunurong people, and honor the Aboriginal community Elders, past and present, who have played a significant role in the history of the region.
Come and experience the beauty and excitement of Ballam Park. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures, historical insights, or a place to bond with your furry friend, Ballam Park has it all. Visit us today and make lasting memories in this remarkable Australian destination.

Reviews
"The smaller playground was a lot better before it was redeveloped and made into an area that is relatively bare compared to its old design. The main playground is big and bold and suited for bigger kids. Good facilities including toilets , picnic and bbq areas , plenty of space and dog friendly in some areas away from the playgrounds."
"A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING FOR ALL! A BIG PLAYGROUND WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU COULD IMAGINE. SLIDES, ROPES, MONKEYBARS, TRAMPOLINES, SKATE PARK, BASKETBALL COURT, ROCK CLIMBING WALL, SWINGS, FLYING FOX, ETC! THERE'S AMPLE PICNIC TABLES AND BBQ FACILTIES, AND A SIZEABLE PARK AREA WITH SHADY TREES. A SMALLER KIDS' WATER/SAND PARK, FAIRY GARDEN AND TOILETS AND DRINK FOUNTAINS TOO. CLOSE PROXIMITY TO RUNNING TRACK ALSO. I HAVE SEEN FOOD TRUCKS AND COFFEE CARTS AND MR.WHIPPY ON OCCASIONS, DEPENDING ON WHEN YOU GO. PLENTY OF STREET CARPARKING."
"Quite an expansive park with a few playground areas, off leash dog parks and pleasant walking tracks. It wasn't totally clear where the off leash dog areas were, but there were few people present when we visited. Unfortunately a few dog owners didn't clear-up after their dog, but it was a nice place to let them roam nonetheless. Parking was plentiful and there were both toilet facilities and picnic areas."
