At Royale Eastwood Medical Centre, we understand the importance of taking care of your skin in Australia's sunny climate. With the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, it is crucial to prioritize regular check-ups and early detection. Remember, you're never too young to get skin cancer, and early detection could save your life.
If you're unsure about whether the Flu Vaccination is right for you, we have compiled useful information to help you make an informed decision. Your health and well-being are our top priorities, and we strive to provide comprehensive information to assist you in making the best choices for your health.
We are proud to offer bulk billing for all eligible services at Royale Eastwood Medical Centre. However, starting from November 1, 2023, Dr. June Lee will introduce a private (gap) fee of $30 for all patients, except children under 16, aged pensioners, healthcare and DVA card holders. This fee also applies to telehealth (phone consultation) appointments.
Please note that test results are only given to the patient concerned by a doctor. In most cases, you will be asked to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor to discuss the results. Additionally, medical certificates can be provided by your doctor following a consultation, but they cannot be backdated. We recommend seeking this service early in your illness, if needed.
If you have visited our practice in the past twelve months, you can book a telehealth consultation online. However, new patients must have a face-to-face consultation with one of our GPs initially. Rest assured that at Royale Eastwood Medical Centre, we adhere to the AMA code of Ethics regarding Privacy and Confidentiality, ensuring the strictest confidence in your medical records and consultations.
If you need to transfer your medical records from a previous practice or doctor, please ask our reception team for a 'transfer of medical records' request form. We are more than happy to assist you in this process.
For blood tests, no appointment is necessary. However, in accordance with the Department of Health Covid-19 Guidelines, we require you to wear a mask and practice physical distancing when attending for your blood test.
Work cover patients will be treated the same as regular patients at Royale Eastwood Medical Centre. Please notify your employer before your first consultation so they may provide you with a claim number related to your current case.
If you require a specialist referral, please make an appointment with one of our GPs first. They will assess your situation and advise you accordingly. It is important to note that specialist referrals cannot be backdated, and any charges associated with the referral should be discussed directly with the specialist.
Our communications policy ensures that we receive and return telephone calls and electronic communication in a timely manner. However, please note that emails are strictly for administrative purposes, and we do not disclose personal information or use email for appointment bookings or cancellations.
To keep you informed about our practice and health services, we may contact you via SMS or email with general information. Rest assured that any generic email communication will only include your name and email address, as we prioritize the confidentiality of your information.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay respect to the elders past and present and extend that respect to all other Aboriginal people.

"I have been living in Australia for 18 years and have been consistently visiting the Royal Medical Centre. Thankfully, I haven't experienced any major injuries or illnesses, so I've been living without any issues. However, on July 3rd, I was involved in a car accident. Fortunately, I didn't suffer any serious injuries or broken bones, but the car was severely damaged and considered a write-off. During this time, my regular GP, who usually attends to me, was on vacation in July, so I saw a new GP named Nelson at Royal Medical Centre. Unfortunately, this doctor seemed sceptical when I mentioned that I was in pain due to the accident. Of course, I didn't have any severe bleeding or broken bones that required surgery, so I understand his hesitation. I attributed it to potential communication issues as English is not my native language. However, today, I got the impression that he firmly didn't believe me. This is the first time my insurance company has been involved in my treatment. Shouldn't it be the doctor's role to help me with my pain and treatment? Today, he spoke to the insurance company's staff as if I were lying, saying that I wasn't in pain before and suddenly became more painful today. Why would you, as my GP, be curious about that? I need to focus on getting treatment, and Nelson didn't assist me with that. He made it more difficult by asking me to fill out paperwork for COC checkups every week. So, I asked him if I could delay it a little. Anyway, Nelson will be on vacation for two weeks, and my regular GP schedule is already fully booked, so if I have to reschedule, I'll have to go outside for treatment and checkups five days a week. To recover well, I need to rest, but being forced to go out every day for GP-related matters is just not right. So, I tried to discuss this and ask for adjustments again. However, Nelson made me lift my arms and said, "If you've had seven physiotherapy sessions and still haven't improved, does that make sense?" This time, it happened in front of the receptionist, who was there to interpret for me. I felt so humiliated, unfair, angry, and frustrated. I had an accident, and I'm the one suffering. The aftermath has been unjust and frustrating: I can't work for almost a month, can't do daily activities properly, and I've missed out on everything I should be doing and want to do. Before, I had heard from friends not to go to Royal Eastwood Medical Centre if I had an accident, but I trusted them because I've been going there for 18 years. However, this incident has deeply disappointed me. I am the one who had the accident, and I am the one suffering. It is unfair and upsetting that I've been injured, experiencing losses, unable to work for almost a month, unable to lead a normal life, and missing out on everything I should and want to do. But today, the way I was treated made me feel so embarrassed and humiliated."
"I have been attending this practice for more than 4 years. Everyone at the practice is super friendly and extremely helpful. And must give thumbs up to Dr Nelson Nguyen, he was caring and offered me very good advice. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Thank you for all your hard work and a fantastic customer service experience as well."
"My first time visit today. I didn't have to wait long and Dr Nguyen was very professional and thorough in my check up. Super impressed! I will be bringing my whole family here now. Thanks a lot!"
"Dr Nguyen who consulted me today was the best in my experience. He was very straightforward with having a plenty of medical experiences. I liked his consulting style which he conducted the consulting in a professional manner, was also kind and I already talked the staff of Song Mi Jeong pharmacy where Korean patients use about his wonderful services not only kindness but also professional medical knowledge and I can recommend him to other people I know."
"Really disappointed with my experience with this centre. Refused to see me because I wasn't Korean! I called up earlier in the week, they told me they did not accept bookings and to come in. Once I arrived no one greeted me at the reception and when they did finally speak to me they told me it was fully booked even though there was only 1 person in the waiting room! I told them about the phone conversation earlier in the week (that they told me they didn't take bookings so to just come in) and they reluctantly asked to see my Medicare card. They asked if I had been there before, I said no and they said sorry we can't see you! No offer to even get me to fill out paperwork which new customers do when going to a new practice, it was like they wanted nothing to do with me. It was like they couldn't be bothered doing their job. I felt really angry and upset because they had told me over the phone they didn't take appointments and then the attitude of the Korean girls at the front desk was so poor. Address I went to was 2 Rowe St. Avoid this place if you are not Korean, no one should be refused medical care based on race. Discrimination at it's worst and I'm not even white - I'm Taiwanese! Waste of my Saturday morning driving there and finding park. The owners should be ashamed that the reception girls are turning so many potential customers away. Also I was respectful and calm during my interaction with the staff, I am also well dressed and well spoken at ALL times so definitely know that this was discrimination. I have great coverage on my private health insurance so am annoyed I even wasted my time looking at this place, when there are many other quality medical centres out there. I have since found another private medical centre in Hunters Hill who have definitely been a lot more welcoming."
