Our consultations generally range from 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your chosen general practitioner. For complex problems or multiple concerns, we highly recommend opting for long consultations to allow ample time for your doctor to address all your needs. We kindly request that you arrive on time for your appointment to ensure efficient service.
Language barriers should never hinder effective healthcare. Therefore, we offer Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS) through our clinic. If required, we can arrange an on-site or telephone interpreter. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to ensure smooth communication during your appointment.
While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, we kindly request a minimum of two hours' notice for appointment cancellations or changes. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a non-attendance fee of $40.00.
At HealthPlus, our dedicated doctors are committed to providing the highest quality of medical care to all our patients. However, due to the increasing costs associated with running a private practice and the stagnant Medicare rebates, we will be introducing a private fee for all patients starting from October 4, 2022. We understand that this may pose challenges for some patients, and we encourage those experiencing financial difficulties to discuss their situation with their doctor directly.
To streamline the payment process, we require all accounts to be settled in full on the day of your consultation. We offer patient claiming through Medicare, ensuring immediate refunds to your bank account. However, please note that certain appointments, including GP Management Plans & Reviews, Care Plan Reviews, Health Assessments, Child Immunizations, and appointments for pensions, DVA, and children under 16 years of age, will continue to be bulk billed.
For minor surgical procedures, an out-of-pocket fee of $60 will be incurred in addition to the standard consultation fees. If you are unsure about your Medicare rebate eligibility, please consult with our team members for clarification.
To cancel an appointment, we kindly request that you call the practice so that we can offer the slot to another patient. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a non-attendance fee of $40.00. We accept credit card and Eftpos payments and can process your Medicare rebate on the spot for added convenience.
Please note that 36 hours' notice is required for all Psychology appointments. Our phone lines are available from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 6 pm, for appointment changes, cancellations, or new appointments. We kindly ask that outstanding fees be paid in full before scheduling a patient appointment.

"I have been there for almost 4 years; always the same issues: my Medicare is not in the records. The older ladies at the reception are not really polite or helpful and always lost in what they are doing. Waiting time for your appointment around 40 -60 minutes my experience is very puur in general."

"At 4:30pm, we rang up asking to get my mother a few stitches in her eyebrow after she had a seizure and fell over (suffers from epilepsy). We live on the same road as this practice, and they told him "we are closing up soon, take her to the hospital." Something that should have been very easy for them to deal with in 10 minutes, was turned away because they were lazy and did not care. Last time any of our family members will go here. Absolute joke. Id give them 0 stars if I could. Avoid this place."
"The Receptionist is incredibly rude !!!!!! I called to get my 2 year old son in to see a dr and they only offer telehealth calls initially and then afterwards you have to go in and have an actual consult. My son usually sees the most wonderful GP at Como but he is currently isolating so I was trying to get him to see another wonderful Dr there, so being a new patient he had to actually go into the surgery to see another doctor not the one I was trying to book in with ... so i was trying to hear her and understand what she was telling me but i dared ask one too many a question and she literally YELLED at me !!! Absolutely disgraceful manners form a healthcare receptionist!!!!!!"
