"Okayish buffet - visited after the new renovations. If you like BBQing they have a good selection of meats, not much in terms of seafood. Some of the items previously offered are no longer available like roast meats, peking duck wraps etc. Desserts aren't great in terms of taste but that hasnt really changed. Overall reasonable for the price."
"So they had renovated to a BBQ meat buffet and I have to say they made the wrong move. There was a good selection of meat but not good grade meat ie wagyu etc like other Korean BBQ buffet. We did the later session and it appears they aren’t topping up most of the food. There’s still some of the hot food ie dim sim, stir fry, desserts and a lot of deep fried food. We wanted to get more than 4 pieces of the same food for everyone on the table and got told off by a staff that we were getting too much of one type of food. Errrr it’s like a piece for each of us on the table! It’s all you can eat isn’t it?? The desserts at China Bar used to be ok. Now it’s just terrible. Some of the desserts’ top was dried up being in the fridge for too long. The only tasty food was the made to order wok station with noodles and stir fry. But I think I can pay less than $60 for a plate of noodles! Won’t be going back!"
"We decided to visit China Bar after its recent renovations to explore their new offerings. The buffet now features a DIY BBQ section with only a smaller selection of other non-BBQ dishes compared to its past. Other non-BBQ dishes available were dim sum (both fried and steamed), a made-to-order noodle station, classic Westernized Chinese dishes (such as fried rice, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, honey chicken, and steamed vegetables), a small selection of sushi rolls, a salad bar, a dessert station, and an ice cream section with small tubs of ice cream. They also have snack sections with a random variety of candies and assorted snacks. During our visit, we noticed that there was a lack of seafood and seafood barbecue items available. However, the raw meat options were fresh. Unfortunately, we found that the fried dim sum section (such as hash browns, spring rolls, and fish fingers) was cold. On the bright side, the other items in the hot food section maintained its temperature. The staff was friendly, but it was evident that most of them were inexperienced. Visiting on its first day, we could see that it's new model is still in its infancy, but there's great potential for the buffet to expand its range of offers. Note: 10% weekend surcharge"
"We ate lunch buffet for $36 per person, generally speaking the varieties are alright, but the flavors are basically plain and not impressive. As a dessert lover, here is quite disappointing. Good deal to be filled up if not too picky."
