We accept referrals from general practitioners, medical specialists, nurse practitioners, as well as legal firms and private industries for medico-legal reports, medical assessments, and reports for employers and insurers. If you already have a referral, you can conveniently book an appointment using our online booking form.

Medicare benefits are available for certain services provided by eligible Allied Health professionals to individuals with chronic conditions and complex care needs. These services must be recommended in the patient's plan and managed by a GP or medical practitioner using specific Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Medicare items or enrolled in a Health Care Home. Our Allied Health team at Specialist Medical & Therapy Solutions provides services that qualify for a rebate of $56.00 per appointment under the CDM plan.

Patients are allowed a maximum of five appointments per calendar year with any combination of Allied Health professionals. We encourage patients to discuss this with their GP at the time of referral and consider mentioning an Allied Health referral (via CDM) in their letters if appropriate.

Private health plans may cover a portion of fees for Allied Health appointments, and we are also able to provide services covered by the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA). Dr. Kathleen Casey, our Clinical and Health Psychologist, is an accredited DVA Health Provider.

For individuals supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we are a registered NDIS Health Provider. The NDIS funds Allied Health and other therapies needed due to a person's disability, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physiotherapy.
