Welcome to Beecroft General Practice, a caring and established medical institution located in the heart of Beecroft, Australia. Our practice, situated at 6-8 Hannah Street, has been proudly serving the community for over 40 years, providing high-quality healthcare to individuals and families.

In light of the rising healthcare costs, increasing inflation, and the freezing of Medicare, we have made the difficult decision to implement private billing. This decision was not taken lightly, but it is necessary to ensure that we can maintain and sustain the exceptional level of medical care that our patients deserve. Starting from the 16th of March 2023, a private fee will be introduced for consultations. Please refer to our fee list for the new prices.

At Beecroft General Practice, we prioritize your health and well-being. Our practice is fully accredited and stays up to date with the latest developments and knowledge in General Practice. We have assembled a team of professionally experienced medical staff and friendly receptionists who are dedicated to providing outstanding healthcare services. With registered nurses, on-site pathology collection, and allied health practitioners, we aim to offer our patients a comprehensive healthcare experience under one roof.

We understand the importance of effective communication, which is why several of our doctors are fluent in Cantonese, Afrikaans, and most Indian dialects. Please feel free to ask our friendly staff for further details in this regard.

Please note that our practice operates by appointment only, with walk-ins being taken only in exceptional circumstances. If you are experiencing severe symptoms, we advise you to call an ambulance immediately.

To ensure excellence in our health service, we have carefully selected a team of 11 doctors with expertise in various aspects of general practice. We also have 3 practice nurses, visiting specialists, and an allied professional team to cater to your specific healthcare needs. Currently, we are running flu vaccine clinics to help protect our patients from seasonal illnesses.

We are proud to announce that Dr. John D'Arcy O'Donnell, an experienced practising doctor at Beecroft for many years, has joined our practice since April 2018. With his expertise and dedication, he contributes to our commitment to providing exceptional care to all our patients.

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken additional measures to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. Our modern facility includes a spacious waiting area, allowing for social distancing. Furthermore, we have opened a new section at the rear of the practice with consulting rooms and a separate waiting area specifically for patients experiencing flu-like symptoms. Please note that patients who do not fall under specific categories will be charged a consultation fee, which will depend on their circumstances. Holders of a Medicare Card will be entitled to a Medicare rebate for the consultation, with the net out-of-pocket expense being the gap amount between the consult fee and the rebate. Private patients will have a full out-of-pocket expense for the total fee.

To be eligible for GP telehealth services, patients must have had a face-to-face consultation with their GP (or another GP in the same practice) within the past 12 months. As a practice policy, only COVID-related matters are bulk billed. For all other Telehealth consultations, there may be a private fee of $80.00 (no rebate), or the doctor's discretion for bulk billing will be applied.
