Reviews
"This review has been updated after Rosebank's response Original Review - They treat their students quite unfairly. It was 2018 back then when I was in Year 8, the year when I was still rather immature and just entering teenage years. I was expelled for reasons that would otherwise warrant a much lower consequence. Essentially I ended up in a fight, generally you'd get suspended for a fight in an ordinary school. However as Rosebank is a private school they can do whatever they want so I was expelled. They didn't provide any valid reasons why I was expelled either and only provided "you need a fresh start at another school". In normal schools, students are legally required to be provided valid evidence and explanation behind their expulsion, usually a serious offence not a fight. Would not recommend Rosebank in terms of having to go through the entire process. Just save your $10k a year and go to a public school. If this was helpful do hit the helpful button, thanks. Rosebank has since responded to my review here's my response. Rosebank claims that they have "high standard of expectations for students and their behaviour" which is contradictory to what I mentioned earlier. Since the person that I had the fight with did not receive the same consequence of expulsion as I did. If Rosebank was truly a school with "high standards of expectations for students" we should've been both expelled. Furthermore as mentioned in my original review, I was not provided any of the claims to my wrongdoing from the person that I had the fight with, since Rosebank is a private school. To this day I have no clue what the other side has claimed in the sequences of events that happened. And I was given no chance of providing my explanation in response to the claims that the other side has made. The practice of Rosebank expelling students without providing proper explanation and evidence is unfair in nature. Besides how does them "having high standards of expectations for students" in their response have anything to do with the fact that I was unfairly expelled? Which by the way is also all I really mentioned in my original review. I guess it's PR stuff and PR disaster control that deviates away from the point I made in my original review as a form of a distraction. And besides don't expect "very high standards of expectations and behaviour" from the staff themselves either, especially when they talk to your kids. I remember when I was in year 8 my year co-ordinator name was Anthony Morizzi, in one of our conversations in his office he put his legs right on the desk in front me as he talked, just to undermine me. This was like 5 years ago but it's still incredibly disrespectful, especially in the context that we paid 10k for this. Again if this was helpful do hit the helpful button to raise awareness. This took a lot of time to write, thanks."
"went to the open day, saw a young boy who was 'working' for the school but needed to leave early to go to work. young teacher screamed at him and told him no. this poor guy was doing free labour for you and wanted to leave to go support his family. will not be sending my kid here after that, staff need to be more compassionate towards students."
"Only a catholic school by name. Encourage and even push ideologies totally not consistent with Christian faith upon the children. When kids try to stand up to this they are silenced and pushed out of the school. If your looking for a traditional Christian school then look elsewhere"
"A very humble school. Take pride in their community. Great "meet the teachers" event tonight. After 3 years of covid, it was great to be back in an auditorium, mingling, eating and drinking :)"
"Dear parents who think about sending your kids here BEWARE!! I am not impressed by the lack of students respect of how they are out of school hours. They sit on peoples fences without permission and it has come to my attention that this needs to stop. I do not appreciate the way that this fence has been treated. I hope to see a change in the future."
