"Great dumplings, delicious noodles, very quick service, minimal elbow room. The custard buns are also very yummy. Shanghai Street is very popular during the lunchtime hour so arrive early if you want to beat the crowd."
"Always busy with a queue, but it is fast moving. Service is friendly and efficient. Food comes out quick and piping hot. We ordered the pan fried dumplings, fried rice, xiao long Pau (steamed pork dumplings with hot liquid inside), kung pao chicken noodles and wonton soup. We enjoyed 4 of the dishes very much. Found the wonton skin too be thicker than what we’re used too. Definitely a good place for a quick lunch. Do try the chilli oil on the table. It’s full of flavour without the spicy heat. Compliments everything very well. Negatives - a small place with tables placed closely together. Tables are small so it feels a bit cramped. Highly recommend."
"Little Bourke branch. Came in for dinner on a Sunday night (17/7/22) as we have been doing for the past 5 years. They told us there was a 10% surcharge on weekends, never heard of it before but fine. Out of our 5 favourite dishes that we always order, they didn’t have 4. No wontons, no pancakes and no noodles…what??! We ordered the rice version since they were out of noods and the amount of meat on the dishes was ridiculously small. I pointed it out to one of the girls that served us and she mumbled something about having new staff in the kitchen. Now, I am a qualified chef and if the dishes are not up to standard they don’t get served to the customers. Only good thing they offered to take 1 dish off the bill. We won’t risk coming here again to have another disappointing experience, very sad as this was our favourite dumpling place."
"Best dumplings in Melbourne! Gave 4 stars just because the noodle too oily Definitely coming back for more! #bulgogi_n_rendang"
