"had an absolutely horrendous experience here and would not recommend for any young people struggling with adhd/autism, especially those good at masking . i feel like i was absolutely judged based off stereotypes and left in tears after being completely invalidated . first off for a mental health PROFESSIONAL to say they didn’t believe that someone has autism because they can hold a conversation is terrible and so insensitive. you have no idea how a patient is feeling and how extremely anxious they are and just because they’re able to hide it well doesn’t mean it’s not there- it just means they’re accustomed to having to hide their feelings in order to seem normal . living like this is so insanely tiring and after months of being on a waiting list and being excited to get help this was such a let down. also to imply that i only want medication for the sake of them being dexamphetamines is so belittling. i understand i am young and dress alternative. but that does not mean i am just in there for the sake of wanting drugs and that is definitely the vibe i got from dr naaz. completely ignored the fact that i have already been on medication and stopped taking them + i had no clue i had autism/adhd at the time of diagnosing me and yet i was still treated like i didn’t in fact have these issues that another licensed medical health professional assessed me with after months of knowing me . will most definitely not be coming back and it is extremely upsetting as nearly every single autistic person i have met has had this same issue of not being taken seriously and it is so upsetting to see this clinic and dr naaz contributing to this negative stereotype . this is why i put it off for so many years to get help and experiences like this make me never want to get help again. do i need to be at my absolute worst in order to finally be helped ??? do i need to be dead for you guys to take me seriously ? because it 100% feels that way ! receptionist was nice though ."
"Dr Naaz gave awful service and invalidated her patient. Refused to believe the patient was autistic or had adhd, which they had been previously diagnosed with and medicated for (adhd)."
"Attended with a very distressed carer and participant who was belittled and spoken to aggressively. Very poor manner and extremely upsetting experience. People with a disability and their carers deserve to be treated with respect however this doctor does not appear to have sufficient training or empathy and compassion to deal appropriately with people in their position very disappointing will advise all future clients to avoid this practice"
"First time seeing a psychiatrist, been seeing my psychologist for years. Came across very abrupt and belittling of everything I talked about. Told me "why am I here" and said to just get over my anxiety by telling myself I'm not gonna die from it (when I asked for a change of medication than I currently had since I was getting more depressed mood and it wasn't helping my anxiety). She said If I am already going to therapy maybe everyone else in my life should go to therapy so they can get better cause it sounds like I'm not the problem (after 10 minutes with her). Told me to bring my Dad in separately to another appointment to get his side to see who's right and who's wrong (if I need a comparison of sides I can ask anyone, Id rather have a session together so we can talk about things). TL;DR:abrupt, belittling, not interested in what I was saying, she thinks mental/neurological disorders are in my head and don't need medication!"
"I seen Dr Naaz based on a recommendation from a friend and she did not disappoint. I was open to her suggestions and at the same time she was very considerate of my feelings and ideas. I experienced nothing in the way of hostility or the likes, she is there to work with, not against. Overall totally positive experience and am happy to go back for follow up appointments"
