"Mexican is one of my favourites so glad to finally have lunch here. 4 of shared chilaquiles (like nachos), guacamole and tortilla chips and frijole dip with chips. All delicious. Then I had 2 vegetarian tacos - 1 frijole and 1 potato. Both delicious. Husband had lamb quesadilla while others had chicken quesadilla, frijole quesadilla and grilled beef with vegetables. Drinks just Jarritos (Mexican soda) - mandarin flavour while I had a spicy margarita which had a bit of chili to give it a kick. Food was good, however nothing on dessert menu took our fancy and disappointingly no coffee. So yes I'm glad I went and would go back."
"I was really looking forward to this place but have to say that it was quite underwhelming. I really wanted to like it but the flavours and textures just weren't there. The two simple entrees were nice enough, but the tacos were not great. The chicken was mushy (maybe how it's supposed to be) and didn't really have much flavour. The beef tacos were just lacking flavour and a bit dry. Fish taco was probably the better of the three but nothing I'll go back for. Maybe I am missing something but was hoping to be blown away. Have to say though the service was good. They were also happy to split the bill, which makes things easy too."
"So so happy LT is now easy to get to in the South East, food is absolutely delicious, unbelieveably fresh. Only downside is they didnt allow us to have the Birthday Cake we brought, which was odd."
"Beautiful restaurant with a great vibe. The semi outside area is a great section to sit. The food was fresh and very tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful and the cocktails were yummy. The menu is great because you get to taste a wide selection of food rather than just 1 meal. This is definitely my favourite Mexican restaurant and will be back again and again."
"Great experience at Chilpa on opening night. Despite similarities at first glance to the old restuarant before the takeover, the food is light-years ahead and ten times more flavorful. We tried every variety of taco, and all were fantastic. Truly the best beef taco I have ever had. Service was great despite a full house and being the first day open. Great drinks menu as well though some options were not yet available and would arrive in due course."
