About the Business
Welcome to Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta, a leading Catholic independent girls' school located on Victoria Road in Parramatta, Australia. Established in 1889 by the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta, our institution is deeply rooted in the Mercy charism.
We are pleased to announce that the Canonical Sponsorship of Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta has been transferred from the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta to Mercy Partners. This significant milestone was celebrated at a special ceremony attended by Sisters of Mercy, current College Board Members, staff, students, and members of Mercy Partners. It marks a new chapter in our rich history and ensures continued oversight and guidance for the college.
At OLMC, we strive to provide a contemporary Mercy Education that empowers young women to lead with courage and act justly. Our vision is inspired by Venerable Catherine McAuley, the Sisters of Mercy Foundress, and aims to make a difference in whatever sphere of life our students choose to move. We foster a faith-filled experience, encouraging students to explore their spirituality and engage with the Catholic faith.
In addition to academic excellence, we place a strong emphasis on dignity, respect, and social responsibility. Our students are encouraged to develop a deep sense of justice and compassion, reaching out to the marginalized and those in need. We equip them to be ambassadors of Mercy, confident in their role in society.
As a dynamic learning community, we value excellence in all that we do and continuously strive to grow as a Mercy community. Our OLMsCene Magazine, a biannual publication, showcases the latest community news and achievements.
We invite you to explore our website for more information about enrolments and to read the Semester 2, 2021 edition of OLMsCene Magazine. If you have any questions or would like to visit our campus, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in Parramatta, the Burramattagal People of the Darug Nation, and pay respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Located at Locked Mail Bag No.14 P.O. North Parramatta NSW 1750, Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta is committed to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that safeguards the wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people.
Join us in shaping the future of young women, empowering them to make a difference in the world with courage and compassion.

"The staff at OLMC are amazing. They are cheerful, joyful and dedicated to do their job and are super friendly. My daughter is going to this school in two years, once she met the staff she was happy, excited and knew she would be in a safe, supportive learning environment. My other daughter, is currently in year seven. She always comes home happy, talking about her day and how she would enjoy or learn something new in the school subjects. OLMC is a fantastic school and I highly recommend it."
"It started alright, the education was adequate. However, things went down from there, bullying occurred and when approaching the teachers, nothing was done. Educational quality decreased as teachers left and soon, there was no shiny substance that makes a private school stand out. The fees were not worth paying. Regarding mental health, it was handled inappropriately when a student would attempt to approach a counsellor regarding issues. House spirit was the only good thing that was done."
"hello. My daughter has recently been to your school and so far her expectations are very low and upsetting. My daughter is in year 7, YEAR 7 and is already getting teased. She has been bullied and made fun of her 3 times for her weight, and been body shamed which is defiantly not what i expect such a good school to happen.Like yes, of course there are going to be bullies, but do something about it.Help them make friends. Educate them about the problems about bullying. She is upset and no longer likes going to school. disgusting."
"I work nearby and parents here feel entitled enough to stop traffic by parking on the road to pick up their children. At times I've waited two minutes while there were no cars in front of the car that was stationary on the middle of the road waiting for a girl to stop talking to her friend before jumping in the car. It is an absolute mess. Then when the entitled parents have their child/ren the students begin to walk out on the road in front of your moving car forcing you to stop and wait for their entitled selves to cross while only being a two or three metres from a designated crossing. The girls, at times acknowledge you by smiling but they have no idea about road safety. The parents have no idea about road law and the school clearly has no solution (or simply accept this behaviour). I've never seen police here monitoring this serious issue."
"My daughter went there and the school taught the students to be proud to be Mercy girls and how to make a difference in the world. There was only 5 girls in 3 unit English in year 12 and the teacher was passionate about English. Our girl Sarah was rewarded with a 100 percent in this subject in the HSC and was able to gain Entry to Sydney Uni and is now a corporate lawyer. This school is worth every cent in tuition. I was educated only to year 10 so I was so glad these dedicated teachers did all they could to help her."
