"My experience at H&R wasn't great, The atmosphere was not very welcoming, service was fine but once they found out I had an ABN that I barely used they charged me an extra $150, and even though I was there early and my appointment started late, the lady I dealt with seemed extremely rushed and didn't put in any effort. I was expecting her to tell me all the things I could claim to actually get me a return, all I got was a - "what do you want to claim" - after I asked what can I claim - she just went, work related expenses, I said my computer but that's about all I could think of, I didn't know there was a plethora of other things I could claim, she didn't bother to help me or tell me. in the end it turns out I owe $750, when I spoke to another accountant he said there was a whole whole lot more I could've claimed. Unfortunately I don't recommend this place for your tax returns"

"I am doing the general tax return, and the tax accountant are not really prepared well nor they are professional in this area. For example, I mentioned in my booking, can you please share anything worth notice in regarding of this year's change of policy. No reply from this branch. Then I asked the same question during tax return, the tax accountant mentioned: We are not able to see the notes you wrote in the booking. (So what's wrong with your system in the first place). And it will take me too long to explain, where shall I start, and then bluff me with 1-2 sentence policy that is from the checklist and then ask me to continue with tax return. Why do I need to use your service if I can read through all the rules and regulations from government website. Be noted everyone, this company's tax checklist did not mention anything about new updated policies, especially about home office. I only remembered last year I saw from news about new home office policies so I did a double check and managed to get an update of the new home office policy. If I did not check, I will lose nearly 500-600 dollars in tax return, it is just a pain to work with accountant who do not wish to tell you all the information. I guess they have really reached the Pinnacle of "You get what you paid" idiom They charge me almost 180 dollars too with half an hour talking with all the information I provided (I provided a word document for them to easily copy paste, yet it still take them super long time to type the information into their system, I am wondering I should type by myself or not). The agent was also like hurry up mood when half an hour reached. Very disappointing."
