"RMC was awesome. Became my home for 3 years. I made friendships here that will last forever. Highly recommended."
"Met my best friends here, it’s a really positive and lovely community."
"Wish I never came here. Room was absolutely filthy when I first arrived so within two hours of arriving to a new country I had to buy cleaning supplies and get to cleaning. Room is ridden with ants and spiders coming in from the bathroom. Bathroom has no door/shower curtain, so taking a shower soaks the entire bathroom. No proper orientation when I first came. Noise is a constant issue - students have no regard for anyone else around. No air-conditioning in rooms, so if you don't want to die of heatstroke you have to open the window and bear the noise. Food is average, and it is annoying constantly being told what you can and can't take at meal time by a certain staff member even though you've paid. Can't wait until my 2 month contract is done so that I can leave."
"I lived here for 3 years, it is a beautiful place to call home while studying. Convenient location next to the uni, shops, and transport. I made so many friends living here, some for that season and some forever friends. They have a fantastic team of long term, good hearted staff who go out of their way every day to make the resident experience feel like a home and a family (Special shout out to John and Katrina genuine legends!) Its also worth mentioning the exceptional framework of the Residential Advisors, Academic Tutors and the Student Executive Team- This ensures there is a channel for pastoral care, academic support and an engaging social calendar which I really appreciated whilst also providing valuable work experience to residents. I have no regrets about investing my time into this community."
"Robert Menzies was my home for 5 years :) It was where I met my best friends and where I got work and life experience I still use to this day. The staff like Elisa and Katrina are beautiful. Elisa greets everyone who walks through the front doors with a welcoming smile and a shoulder to cry on when times are tough. Katrina gets things done and does so with cookies and cakes always on offer. During my time there I was exposed to so many walks of life and have become a better person for it. I was a scared fresher leaving home for the first time, a slightly more confident and settled second year, a yearbook editor, an RA, a housekeeper and a kitchen hand. All of these experiences have introduced me to new people, skills and ideas and I am so thankful for all of them. I have had some really tough times in my life but college was always there with a welcoming smile and the offer of a hot cup of tea with friends. If you are leaving your home for what ever reason this is a great transitional place with wonderful people, a chess board, Academic tutors, slightly dodgie WiFi and new friends and family to be met :)"
