Our founder, Ashod Paloulian, is a professional tennis player and coach with a passion for the sport. Ashod has been playing tennis since he was seven years old and was a professional player in his hometown of Aleppo, Syria. He brings his expertise and dedication to his coaching, forming excellent relationships with his students. Ashod takes his job seriously and strives to help children realize their goals and become great tennis players.

At Shooting Star Tennis, we offer a variety of classes to suit different age groups and skill levels. Our preschool classes focus on teaching basic tennis skills such as forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves while developing gross motor skills. For older children, we emphasize the fundamentals of tennis and work on technique and mastering gross motor skills.

For adults looking to improve their game or learn in a fun and competitive environment, our adult tennis classes are perfect. We focus on basic skills, technique, and style to help you reach your goals. Our senior tennis coaching classes provide a great opportunity to socialize while staying fit and maintaining coordination.

In addition to his professional playing experience, Ashod holds a Tennis Australia Community Coaching certificate and has worked as a volunteer with Tennis Australia and Tony Tennis. He also has insurance, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), and Police Check. Ashod's love for tennis and dedication to his students is evident in his teaching style. He is patient, kind, and ensures that every lesson is enjoyable and fun.

Ashod is also involved in volunteer work, dedicating part of his week to teaching tennis to refugees for free. As a refugee himself, he understands the importance of being active and involved in the community. His programs aim to improve English skills, encourage participation and enjoyment, and promote integration with the local community. Ashod is fluent in Arabic, Armenian, and English.
