Our institution, a part of the statewide NSW Health Pathology network, is situated at the renowned Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), in close proximity to the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and the esteemed University of Sydney.

At the Department of Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology at RPA, we understand the critical role that pathologists play in influencing medical and surgical decisions. With this in mind, our dedicated team strives to provide exceptional diagnostic histology, cytology, and intra-operative consultative services for approximately 50,000-55,000 specimens annually.

We focus on a wide range of specialties including melanoma and non-melanocytic skin, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, head and neck, bone and soft tissue, pulmonary, haematolymphoid, gynaecological, transplant, and molecular pathology.
