Welcome to Contents International Design, located at Kensington, Todman Avenue, 2a. As a renowned establishment in Australia, we take pride in being a furniture store, home goods store, point of interest, and store all in one.
At Contents, we have a wide range of products sourced from both local and international suppliers. This means that the lead time for each product may vary. Showroom stock items are available for pick up right away, while items in our warehouse can be ready for collection within a day. Items stocked by our suppliers usually take approximately 2-3 weeks, and made-to-order locally or overseas can take 6-8 weeks, depending on the next shipment. Please note that lead times will be quoted at the time of sale.
Our commitment to quality is evident in our locally made sofas and chairs, which come with a 10-year manufacturers warranty against abnormal wear. Other items are covered by a conditional 12-month warranty. Our Australian made cabinetry and tables are constructed using Tassie Oak or American Oak, which are cut and finished locally to order. The frames of our sofas are made of solid timber assembled with screws, and the seating features a combination of feather fiber, Dacron, and Dunlop foams, depending on the model.
We kindly ask that you choose your items carefully, as Contents does not offer refunds or returns for change of mind, measurement discrepancies (for both access and design), or wrong selections. However, a store credit may be available for non-ordered items in new condition, with prior notice at the time of sale. Please note that an administration fee will apply.
Rest assured that all items undergo quality control checks before delivery or collection. In the rare event that a product with a manufacturing fault is delivered, Contents will arrange for it to be rectified or replaced to an as-new standard. If any damage occurs during delivery by our contract delivery driver, please ensure that you alert them at the time of delivery. Claims cannot be made once items are signed as received in good condition.
For your convenience, we can arrange delivery for items not collected from our showroom or warehouse through third-party contract delivery drivers. For local deliveries within 50kms from either store, there is a one-off fee of $165, which includes two people, insurance, placement, assembly, and rubbish removal. Deliveries outside this area will be quoted and presented for approval prior to delivery.
If you require interstate or further deliveries, we can arrange delivery and obtain quotes from local furniture carriers that service your area. Alternatively, you can choose to have the items available for collection by a company or person of your choosing.
Please note that all items are quality control checked before leaving the warehouse. It is essential that customers inspect the items at the time of delivery and sign for them in good order. If any damage is seen after signing, the delivery company will not take responsibility.
Before placing your order, we recommend considering the placement of the items and any potential delivery obstacles, such as entryways and staircases. If goods cannot be delivered due to access issues, the customer is responsible for paying the return shipping back to the warehouse. To avoid any issues, please double-check measurements prior to booking delivery. Customers must be present at the agreed time of delivery and provide access to the driver.
Please note that all goods remain the property of Contents ID until paid for in full. The outstanding balance on goods must be paid in full before delivery.
Lead times quoted for orders are approximate and may change due to supplier or material delays. Rest assured that we will keep you updated on any changes.
As per Australian Consumer Law, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind, measurement discrepancies, or wrong selections.
Please note that made-to-order items may not be changed after the order is placed. If changes are possible at that stage, a fee will apply.
For orders with multiple lead times, delivery will be quoted as one consolidated fee unless discussed differently. However, we can split ship the order at additional delivery fees for each delivery.
When purchasing natural products, hand-made pieces, or items with dye lots, please consider that variations may occur. We allow for a reasonable allowance in variation when comparing from samples and floor stock models.
Please note that general wear and tear is not covered under warranty. However, Contents will assess each case individually for products with abnormal wear during the expected time period of use. Timber, being a natural product, can move depending on its environment, and sunlight can fade color and tone over time.
Delivery fees are based on the expectation of reasonable access at the delivery site. Additional charges may apply if access is deemed unreasonable.
