"Best in the business! People bring there children to Hurstville learn to swim to learn a lifesaving skill not how to play and sing in the pool! Kids especially need to know how to swim in Australia! If you want your kids to learn how to swim this is the place to take your kids."
"Very painful experience. Witnessing my daughter and other children screamed at, man handled and spoken to aggressively was beyond disturbing. The instructors are clearly over their job and just don’t care. No sense of nurturing or building the kids confidence. Children are belittled and instil fear in them to get them to perform. Horrible bunch of instructions."
"STAY AWAY from this swim school at all costs unless you want your kids to be traumatised and abused. We were attending this swim school for some time. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a great improvement in progress. Had 2 kids attend for 3 yrs. Instructors are all aggressive with the kids when they do not get the outcome they are expecting from the children. It’s shocking to watch. The kids would cry before attending and plead not to take them. This was a collective among many kids with their parents, kids would come in crying even though they have been attending for some time, screaming they don’t like the instructors. We experienced it firsthand, some parents would be like “oh it is tough love”, we stuck it out for a long time with no progress or improvement from our kids. Very toxic atmosphere, stressful for both parents and kids, even watching other kids was hard to digest. We stuck it out because we started off with a different staff member who left halfway through. When asked about the staff member you get looked at like you said something strange. Clearly the swimming instructor wasn’t happy with the owners that run the place, which is why she left, the owners took over the classes my son and daughter were attending. Water safety and survival is not taught. My kids weren’t confident being in the water on their own without having their hand held, even though they attended for some time. Not expecting them to be Olympic swimmers, however by that stage you would expect the kids to be able paddle/float in the water without drowning and feeling fearful. It was clearly the wrong approach towards the kids which is why they were not progressing. Once we found a new swim school our kids are feeling more comfortable in the water and look forward to their lessons and now have a sense of water safety, all it took is a couple of lessons, no aggression, no yelling, no screaming. Paid for 3 years and attended persistently for my kids to be tormented and come out not achieving the bear minimum from their lessons. If a child missed a lesson because they are genuinely unwell, they will not do make up lessons or a refund unless the child is admitted to hospital. So much for a family business that deals with babies and kids for a living."
"Instructors are not good with children, very aggressive towards kids. The instructors need lessons on how to treat and speak to children. Staff and instructors are not friendly. We had high hopes for this swim school as it is a family run business we thought you would get the more personal experience for the kids, completely the opposite. If a child had an illness or were wanting to change time/dates to attend you were treated like a nuisance and weren't able to. It is either you attend those times you started with or you lose the money you paid up front. Instructors have no sense or ability to teach kids swimming without mocking, man handling and speaking down at the kids no matter how young."
"Worst swim school to expose your kids to! Very inconsiderate and brutal of their treatment towards children. They instil fear into the child rather than encourage them to enjoy and love the water. My child spent a year there and achieved nothing. In a few weeks at a new swim school he has advanced and become more confident in the water. Unlike other swim schools you never know what your child has achieved, its routine same thing every lesson with no new skills learnt. They are money hungry and when you come to pull out your child they take part of your deposit and lie and reword their policy stated on their website. My sister took out her child same day as mine and because she attended that lesson received a full refund but my child who was recovering surgery and didnt attend received a partial refund. Talk about fairness. Trust me dont bother with them not worth your money. Even make up lessons unless your kid is dying they dont allow them. Serious waste of time and money!"
