"i think its so funny that all the people writing reviews here probably dont even go to this school. there are no bullying problems at all, just kids messing around. being a year six at this school, ive been here 7 years. i dont really see much wrong with it except for a few unnecessary changes when we got the new principal. i miss the old buildings but im grateful to have our new ones. some teachers haven't been very nice or made be feel welcome but im still grateful for the ones that do. just on message to say to everyone. do you actually know the school?"
"I bought a house very closed to this school so that I can walk my kids to school everyday. When I was young, I heard that KPS was good. However, I found that the school is not teaching anything useful at all, the academic level is extremely low. Reception staff are not nice, kids rolling on the ground and fighting with each other. Teacher always go strike, bully problem is very serious and teachers do not try to stop. My kids only started this year that I could not bear with these any more so I just transferred my kids to Knox instead. So please don't think using a lot of money to buy a house in good region can save your private school fee. You are cheating yourself by saying your kids can study in a "so-called" rich ppl region's public school. Most kids in this school are living in apartments or far away. I do not mean to look down on public school, and I knew some public school like Mowbray and West Pennant Hill got very caring principal and teachers. The principal here is a joke, discriminate parents for kids with poor academic result. Thats from a parent in KPS who stayed for more than 4 years. Heard that it was a real good school 10 years ago as there was a very good principal. All things changed after that principal retired 10 years ago. Pity."
"Definitely a waste of time for my daughter spending two years here. My daughter attended tuition class on Sat for 3 hours and she told me what she learnt within 3 hours is more than a week she learnt in KPS. I have already transferred her to private school this year. The reason I enrolled this school was my daughter could walk to school by herself. With the comparison of a private school, I have to say the difference between free and paid school is huge. Management of this school is bureaucratic."
"My house located a few block next to Killara Public school. I confirmed parents from this school are lousy, strange haircut with green colours, tattoos...Looking into this school will make you felt like you are in the western suburbs, not upper north shore. All the people with very special looks....unhygienic, love to broke the rules and park the cars blocking people's driveway. Some kids hair also dye in green colour. As a resident living in a house in Killara for over 20 years, more and more people move to this suburb, just buying an apartment or even rent nearby, pretended they are rich to share the same post code as us. Real Killara residents send kids to private school, not to a public school like this one. Parents in this school turn our beautiful suburbs no longer beautiful."
"Bully problem is very serious in this school. My daughter was being bullied but the teachers said kids were only having fun. The school never wanted to help. Teachers here only know going to strike (so holiday for them) and always wear shorts and flip flop while teaching....just like a pyjamas party without respecting students. Anyway, my daughter left this school as it never wanted to resolve bully issue... I know ppl come to live in Killara as high ranking of Killara High. However, KPS is fully of bully and teachers are not professionals. Avoid it."
