About the Business
Welcome to Sydney Boys High School, a prestigious institution located in the heart of Australia's vibrant city, Sydney. Situated at Moore Park, Cleveland Street, our school is not only an establishment but also a point of interest for locals and visitors alike.
At Sydney Boys High School, we pride ourselves on providing a well-rounded education that focuses on both academic excellence and co-curricular activities. Our Open Day is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students and their parents, particularly boys from Years 4 and 5, to witness firsthand the incredible achievements of our students in various fields.
One of our most exciting updates is the completion of the Governors Centre, made possible through the incredible support of our community. With over $10 million raised, this state-of-the-art facility is a testament to our commitment to providing the best education for our students. We encourage you to explore the Governors Centre and its facilities, and even consider making a donation to help us complete the building's fit-out.
Admission to Sydney Boys High School is highly competitive, with only 180 Year 7 boys selected each year through a state-wide test administered by the Selective Schools Unit. This rigorous selection process ensures that our school is filled with motivated and talented individuals who are ready to excel academically.
To stay updated with the latest happenings in and around the school, we recommend that both parents and students regularly read our editions. This will provide valuable insights into the vibrant and dynamic community that Sydney Boys High School offers.
Established on October 1, 1883, Sydney Boys High School has a rich history that spans over a century. In 1928, we moved to our current location at Moore Park, where we are surrounded by iconic landmarks such as Moore Park, Anzac Parade, Sydney Girls High School, and Cleveland Street. Our students also have access to the McKay Sports Ground, located in Centennial Park, for their sporting activities.
Additionally, our rowing sheds, known as the Outterside Centre, are situated in Teviot Avenue, Abbotsford. These facilities, owned and maintained by the Sydney High School Foundation, provide our rowing team with a dedicated space to train and compete.
At Sydney Boys High School, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and achievers. Join us on our journey of excellence and discover the endless possibilities that await you at our esteemed institution.

"The juniour principal likes handing out detentions. Doesn't care about ur reasons."
"SO this place is ok but I have found some major flaws in this schools case. Firstly they said that pides were cheap yet they made less meat in them so the value isn't changed and this is proven by many studies from over the years about the terrible quality of the food in plastic boxes this is because the food looks yummy yet it is expensive and not value for more money. They also say that the teachers are better at hungry Jacks and that this is false but through many atar studies this is proven false as they average get more done futher we are just better thakns"
