Welcome to the Edith Parsons School of Physical Culture, located in the picturesque suburb of Barden Ridge, Cowper Place. As an establishment and point of interest, our school offers a unique and exciting opportunity for girls and ladies aged from 3 years to participate in the competitive sport of Physical Culture, also known as 'Physie'.

Physie combines elements of dance, floor exercises, and standing exercises, drawing inspiration from basic ballet and modern dance techniques. This dynamic sport is not only a great way to improve physical fitness, flexibility, coordination, and posture, but it also helps build confidence and fosters new friendships.

For generations, Australian women from diverse backgrounds and abilities have embraced the joy of being a 'Physie girl'. From childhood to adulthood, through studying, starting families, and even becoming grandparents, girls and ladies of all ages continue to value and return to the fitness, friendships, and fun that Physie brings. It is often said among our Physie family that "once a Physie girl, always a Physie girl".

At the Edith Parsons School of Physical Culture, we also take pride in acknowledging and honoring the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of our nation. We recognize their rich culture and customs, which have nurtured and continue to nurture the land on which we live, learn, and work. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present.
