"AVOID AT ALL COSTS , SEVERE SHELL DISCOLOURATIONS ISSUES AFTER 1.5 YEARS OF PURCHASE . COMPANY HOLDS NO RESPOINSIBILTY."
"After the recent delivery of a Miami 12.6 x 3m lap pool to our home in Victoria and prior to it being installed, we noted that there was an obvious wide, unsightly shiny, faded and uneven strip across the width of the pool. Miami pools stated that this was at the join of the moulds and was due to sanding. We were confronted with a dilemma due to the pool hole having been dug to fit the Miami lap pool, and that no other company manufactures a fibreglass pool of this dimensions. Miami pools stated they would not replace the pool if we were to return it. So our only option was to request a discount. When you spend a total of well over $50,000 on a project such as a pool, it was unreasonable to be forced to accept the main focus of this project with a fault that would not even qualify the pool as a 'second'. There are also an additional couple of smaller shiny, faded sanded areas on the pool base. It is unlikely that anyone else would have accepted this pool and it would probably have ended up on the scrap heap. Despite this, the Miami pool manager would only refund $2,500. The pool company who managed the installation added a $500 discount, so the total refund was $3,000. However this does not compensate for an obvious and relatively large defect that is visible both when looking into the pool, and when swimming. The unevenness of the join on the pool base is even more visible as it accumulates debris. The Miami manager claimed this defect would not be noticed once the pool was filled but this is false. It is very obvious! This review is submitted as a warning for anyone who is considering a Miami pool. Stay away from this company. The quality control is absolutely substandard and the management was unreasonable and unapologetic."
"A follow up to the unsightly join fault and finish shown in the above photos and the owner's response: Miami Pools wrote above: "Miami Pools only manufactures pool shells as requested by resellers. Miami Pools has no communication with the reseller’s clients or control over the sale to clients. The pool size that was ordered by the reseller understood that that size was only possible by joining 2 sections of the mould together and making the pool shell in one piece. The reseller also knew that it would have a join mark in the finished product. We don't know if this information was passed onto you prior to ordering from the reseller" This is a false claim as the reseller stated they had never seen a poorly finished join like this. It is unbelievable that you would sell a pool of this dimension with this substandard finish. The fact you that have shifted the blame onto the seller rather than take responsibility for this poorly manufactured pool shell reveals Miami Pools cannot be trusted. The amount you discounted was insulting given the overall cost of this project and that the pool, being the central focus, has a very obvious ugly white mark of over 30 cms wide across the blue finish. Our first choice would have been to return this pool shell but due to your poor manufacturing standards, you claimed that the join faults would be repeated. Why do you advertise a shell of this dimension if you are unable to manufacture one to an acceptable standard?"
"All good till you buy...then it all goes to Custard. We had problems with the Installer not done by Miami Pools, but when the Builder after 2yrs is told to remove, repair and re-install. Getting a response in writing on Miami Pool's Lifetime Warranty is worse than pulling teeth."
"Just wanted to share my experience with Miami Pools, although it was only in the initial consultation stages. After talking to David in regards to purchasing a fibreglass pool kit, he emailed me requesting for a 20% deposit to be transferred into the nominated bank account, before issuing a contract. I called him the next day and questioned him about why he is requesting for a 20% deposit without a contract. David became very aggressive and abusive over the phone and started using foul language. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! VERY DODGY!"
