"Forgot to buy few things fromColes today after work and went for getting it from Aldi Berwick after gym leaving my back pack at the front desk. The young gentleman at the counter was very friendly to the lady in front asking whether she wanting to keep the card board box while she had a zipped shopping bag in her hand which was never checked. His talk to her seems very friendly. As I was next I put my one and only Woolworth bag on top of the counter. He asked me “ can I check your bag”. I still couldn’t get into sleep keep thinking about it. I asked him why he didn’t check her bag and he said he would have missed it. Of course you will miss it if you talk too much to any one. Usually the service is fast but they took long than usual. He never apologised of what he did until I said I felt bad and given an unhappy sorry. I asked him whether he want to check my backpack from gym which was left in front of the reception. Dear Aldi team if you want to check bag check everyone’s all black, brown, whites, Asian’s Europes should be included. No excluding whites. If you do this to me one more time I will not be the same today. I have never been discriminative in life been a nurse but you made me today dear gentleman in this post. I have to express myself. I don’t care if you talk to me over not, no bothering but truly what you did today was discrimination. White to white and white to brown. You are so young and need to learn more to live well in this heavenly place not hurting anyone. It hurts as if we are doing something bad. As I spent 10 years in Ireland I like Aldi and Lidl. Irish customer service never did this to me. They valued us. We expect the same value as Aldi name is same. Standard should be kept similarly. Senior leaders please take a moment to review your values and discuss it with every employee to keep good customer service. I’m just expressing my feeling as I had this experience previously with a lady staff in Berwick. I shopped before at fountain gate and Casey centre but no issues. Only in Berwick. Anything lacks in Berwick?"
