About the Business
Welcome to Clancy Catholic College, located in the beautiful suburb of West Hoxton, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our school is dedicated to nurturing a love of Christ, learning, and each other. We pride ourselves on fostering strong relationships between students, parents, and teachers, creating a welcoming Catholic community.
At Clancy Catholic College, we strive for excellence in all aspects of education. We set high expectations for our students and provide them with the support they need to succeed. Our goal is to ensure that each student grows and thrives, preparing them to meaningfully engage with and contribute to an ever-changing world.
As the third principal of Clancy Catholic College, I was immediately struck by the warmth and respect that permeates our community. Our motto, "To Love Like Christ," inspires our relationships, which are built on a foundation of mutual respect between staff, students, and families. While proudly Catholic, we welcome all who share our Christian values.
Our reputation for excellence extends to all areas of our institution. We have no apologies for our high expectations and challenging curriculum, as we believe in pushing our students to be the very best they can be. However, we also provide them with a dedicated and motivated staff who offer unwavering support.
Our campus boasts modern facilities designed specifically for twenty-first-century learning. Vibrant, attractive, and flexible learning spaces create an environment that is both safe and comfortable, fostering a love for learning.
Clancy Catholic College holds a special place in the hearts of all who learn and grow within its walls. Since opening in 2006 under the leadership of Mr. John Robinson, our founding principal, we have established a strong emphasis on relationships, the pursuit of excellence, and a deep love for Christ. In 2012, Mrs. Iris Nastasi took the helm as the second principal, and in 2018, Mr. David Fetterplace continued the tradition of leadership.
Our College's building program was completed in January 2020, providing state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate our growing student population, which now exceeds 1200 students and approximately 130 staff members.
Clancy Catholic College was founded under the patronage of Cardinal Edward Bede Clancy, the seventh Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sydney. Our unique story involves having our patron actively involved in our establishment. While we are not associated with any specific religious order, our College's charism has developed around the "spirituality of the heart," as exemplified by Cardinal Clancy's life and teachings.
Our identity is further strengthened by our seven Clancy values, which are assigned to our seven Houses. These values, including Faith, Compassion, Hope, Pride, Relationships, Respect, and Service, help us instill social responsibility in our students, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to a constantly evolving world.
Clancy Catholic College is part of a larger system of over 150 low-fee Catholic schools in the Sydney Archdiocese. Sydney Catholic Schools are thriving Catholic communities that prioritize excellent teaching and learning, empowering students to reach their full potential.
We also take pride in acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land on which our schools and offices now stand. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, recognizing their enduring connection to the land.

"I don't get with people sending in bad reviews for racial discrimination or bullying. I started year 7 and nothing has happened so far, this school is so amazing and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I would consider this school to other people. I was first deciding to go to another high school but when my parents put me here I didn't like it at first, but after a few days I adapted really well and now I love this school. Better than my primary."
"I agree with some of the other reviews about bullying. I am fighting hard to have my child removed from this school . Full of bullies . Staff don’t care. My child was placed in classes with all her bullies , even after several disturbing incidents last year where I had to personally call, send emails etc . Now they tell me they can’t do anything about it as classes are a done deal and can’t be changed. So, they put my child’s mental health at risk, after everything that’s happened, and now she has to go to school with extreme anxiety and can’t sleep. I am disturbed by the staffs behaviour and reluctance to step up. I will not stop here though. I will write letters to the powers that be and make an official complaint . This school is a farce and fake."
"I'm here to state that as of 2022 (going into 2023), a lot of the 1 star reviews written on here are generally lies. Weapons, fighting, racism... I've never had such issues at this school for the past five years."
"My son goes to this school and they are so supportive and accomodating with everything. I honestly can’t fault them and would recommend them to anyone. I do give honest reviews if you see my profile and I can tell you that Clancy is fantastic choice."
"The school is full of bullies , racial discrimination is rife there is just about a fight amongst students just about everyday and the teachers turn a blind eye to this . Due to all this , we had to move schools for my child. . If you value your child’s safety and mental health think twice before sending them there ."
