"Saccas overall our go to place to shop. The price and selections are great. However, at Saccas Broadmeadows we often noted poor customer service. When they just few months opened (during covid times), we saw the lady behind the bakery was putting baked pastry goods into a plastic bag without gloves nor thong, bare hands. She was doing it to put these pastry on sale, clearing them from display, not because someone ordered it. We reported this to front desk and the answer was, oh she's new, we'll let her know. That's it. But since then, we never bought their baked goods just in case. We often noted that the prices do not match, but usually very easy to identify, just next to each other. Today, I was going to buy cherry tomatoes. I like the sunny yellow one, but the price was for 2 boxes cherry truss tomatoes for $5. The other prices were for Roma and medley ones at higher price $7 for 2 boxes. So fortunately there was a staff stocking up the tomatoes, so I asked, how much is the sunny, and he pointed at the $5 for 2 then realised it was for the Truss. So he moved the price over and only wondered why the sunny one didn't have a price. Then he said, sorry, I am new, can you ask the register please. So I said we'll that's okay. I left not buying because it's not my job to go all the way to the front to enquire, it's the job of the shop to display correct pricing. Then when paying, I was making sure that the apples price was correct, because most was $4.98/kg and the one I chose was $2.98/kg (I was charged $4.98). I told the cashier that was wrong but she insisted the price was correct from the labels and said "maybe you took it from the wrong box". I said no, it was the only box with $2.98 price. Then she said "Maybe other customers put it there". I was surprised with this attitude I said the whole 5 apples in the wrong box? She said "you could ask my manager over there" then I said I think you should ask your manager. Then she went to ask. She came back and said my manager said if you don't want it we could take it out. The manager she pointed was serving at a cashier and no one went to check the box. So I said fine I'll go and take a picture for you to see. At this point it has become a principle issue for me. I went over and took a picture and showed it to her the box was full with mixed label apples. Then the manager came over said price was correct and I said why don't you take the ones with the label that you said was a higher price out (as not all has a label) and they said they couldn't do that. I had already felt that I was being accussed of trying to steal or trying to buy more expensive apples at a lower price and that attitude was confirming that. And then I was told to go to a different manager at the front desk, the other manager explained and this front desk manager without checking said sorry we don't have boxes or basket you took it from other places. So I showed her the picture of the box with mixed labels and told her you are doing this to all customers not me, other people wouldn't realise and would pay $2 higher. Then this front desk manager agreed, the price was $2.98 / kg (without checking the box only 3 meters away just looking at my pictures). I told her, I'll pay at the other cashier (as I have not paid my shopping). But the cashier charged me for 600 gram the whole $2.98! I complained to the front desk manager, and told her I'm happy to make it a kg to make it easy. She agreed. But then she asked her staff to check the price. The staff quickly checked and told her, yes the price is correct $2.98/kg. Again the attitude here thinking I'm trying to steal is unbelievable. I ended up paying extra to make it a kg and a bit so no need for refund. I'm the type of customer that never try fruit in store, many do, because for me that is the same as stealing. So if Saccas has many customers that steal, don't generalise and try to profit back from incorrect pricing (which often happens staff are not trained to deal with it correctly). Check first, don't accuse customers for lying."
"Not a bad supermarket franchise. Well stocked, fresh foods, bulked items, some interesting brands the other ones don't have. No self serve though. Friendly service and reasonable prices."
""Great selection, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. The grocery department store offers a wide range of fresh produce, pantry staples, and household items. The store is well-organized and clean, making shopping a breeze. Convenient location and ample parking add to the overall positive shopping experience. Highly recommended!" Consider price with great quality produce !"
