"Dined here on two occasions and have enjoyed my dining experience. The food is outstanding with every dish been very delicious. They offer seasonal menu which keeps every visit refreshing. Local hidden gem tucked away in the back streets of Randwick. Would highly recommend. Highlights for me was the special red emperor in honey miso sauce and Raw kingfish with blood orange, fennel and coconut."
"A friend recommended this restaurant to us, talked it up so much we had to check it out! Loved the long open style kitchen and different areas for seating. Indoors had a few different corners and there was also an outdoor section as well. It has a warm homely feel inside. Our waiter George was very friendly and knew his menu inside out. He helped us choose our dishes by thoroughly explaining them to us! We chose the a-la carte menu. Starters: The smoked eggplant was to die for! The garlic and sumac worked beautifully with it! Flat bread was splendid. Fresh oysters served on ice were very fresh and the tangerine balsamic dressing was very subtle and didn’t overpower the seafood flavour at all. We enjoyed these a lot! Beef Tartare was unbelievably tasty and presented so beautifully. It was sitting on a crispy tapioca shell, the crunch was amazing and the beef was diced up very finely - one of my favourites by far. The salad had a combination of fresh fruit and vegetables - surprisingly they worked well together: rockmelon, tomatoes, berry capers and cucumber - wished there was a little more goats curd in it. Overall still very unique and delicious. For main we chose the lamb shoulder. A little pricey $46 for the size/portion recieved - especially since it’s a sharing plate however it was extremely soft and flavourful, I could have eaten it all by myself! Hubby thought it was very small, i have to agree. The sauce and the garlic yoghurt really added a nice touch to what could have been a very boring dish otherwise. We got a side of chips and they were actually delicious as they had the skins still on some of the potatoes which made them very crunchy! Super addictive, probably ate one or two more than I needed to. Sticky Date Pudding for dessert was exceptional! My husbands favourite dessert, he rated it as one of the best he’s had! Fabulous dinner, great service and atmosphere - will be returning for sure."
"We ordered the “Feed Me” set menu. It was made up of a selection of well-portioned dishes with interesting combination flavours and textures. Service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed, warm and friendly. They could pay more attention to timing of each course as well as adding some detail in their plating of the dishes."
"Great restaurant in an area that doesn't have a lot of that level of cooking, which is great. We had a lot of the mid size dishes. Some were awesome some just good, but overall a great meal, with an interesting modern fusion like menu, that is worth trying for sure. The polenta with the calamari was great (and spicy just st the right level), kingfish was super fresh and great as well. The sourdough toast with the cheese for dessert was also great"
