"A Wow - the food really speaks for itself. Sixpenny is not one of those classic fine dining restaurants with breathtaking views or glamorous atmospheres in Sydney. It’s rather unique, the interior of this 1907 corner terrace is modestly but elegantly furnished with a touch of vintage creates an extremely chill and relaxing dining atmosphere that guests can just focus on the food itself. The mindset of both creativity and sustainability is embedded in every single dish. From the locally sourced ingredients to the perfect balance of all flavours in each course, the amount of attention to detail is mind-blowing. The recycled sourdough and the kangaroo tartare alone merits a visit. The waiters are very friendly, and the chefs would come to the table to present their courses which adds a little more to the dining experience. To be honest, this is my second visit and I will keep going back as it really is THAT GOOD."
"One of my favorite fine dinning places in Sydney, if not the favorite. I’m never disappointed every time I go. I especially like the cozy dinning room in the back that allows some privacy and a peak to the kitchen. Food is beautiful and you can tell they really thought about how to play mix and match to bring out the best of all the ingredients. And I like the rotate of texture from each dishes. It’s a 3 hours food heaven that leaves you full and satisfied and walk out with a smile."
