Welcome to Birchgrove Public School, located in the scenic suburb of Birchgrove, Australia. Our establishment is a point of interest and a primary school, dedicated to providing an excellent education in a warm and nurturing environment.

We invite you to join us for a school tour, which is run by our senior students and covers both the Primary School and Preschool facilities. These tours are held on the first Friday of each calendar month and no bookings are required. Simply come to the front office at 9.35am to sign in before the tour commences.

At Birchgrove Public School, we believe in offering our students a well-rounded education. That's why selected students have the opportunity to participate in PSSA netball and soccer competitions. The competition begins on Friday, May 26th, 2023, and continues every Friday we are at school until Friday, September 1st. Netball matches will be held at Richard Murden Reserve in Haberfield, while soccer matches will take place at Glover Street Sporting Ground in Lilyfield. Students will depart from Birchgrove Public School at 12pm and return by 3pm, with transportation provided by bus. The cost for participation is $170, which covers transport to and from the competition. Payment can be made through our school's website.

In addition to our sports programs, we are excited to offer a free financial education program called Talk Money with Ecstra Foundation. This program aims to teach young Australians valuable money lessons for life, helping them become confident in talking about money and making informed financial decisions. It includes facilitator-led workshops for students in Years 5-10, as well as additional resources to reinforce learning in class and at home. Talk Money with Ecstra Foundation aligns with the Australian Curriculum and the National Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework, providing evidence-based and diverse insights.

At Birchgrove Public School, we also prioritize scientific curiosity and discovery. Through our habitat classroom, students have the opportunity to learn scientific skills as they observe and study animal characteristics and behaviors. They will conduct experiments and develop skills that will help them see the world through the eyes of a scientist.

We also have various upcoming events for you to enjoy. On September 11th, from 8am to 8:50am, we will have performances by our Concert Strings and Recorders ensembles, along with a coffee stall. On September 13th, the Concert Band ensemble will take the stage, and there will be a bake (cake) stall. Lastly, on September 15th, our Rock Band ensemble will perform, and there will be a sausage sizzle and a second-hand uniform stall.
