Marion Catholic Primary School has a rich history that dates back to its establishment in 1982. Under the leadership of Sr Catherine O'Brien, the founding principal, the school started with 48 students in Kindergarten and Year 1. By 1987, Marion had expanded to become a complete primary school with classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. It was also in 1987 that the school prayer was written in honor of Mary.

As a Catholic school, we are committed to serving the poor and disadvantaged and promoting social justice and environmental stewardship, in line with the mission of the Sisters of Charity. Our community actively engages in a range of social justice initiatives, living a life of service.

At Marion Catholic Primary School, we work in partnership with parents, the parish, and the wider community to teach children by challenging and encouraging them to reach their true potential. Our Lady of Victories parish and Marion Catholic Primary School work collaboratively to ensure the spiritual development of each child is nurtured. The staff closely collaborate with the parish team, preparing liturgies and prayer experiences for the children. Regular attendance at parish Masses and celebrations of Reconciliation throughout the year further strengthen the bond between the parish and school.
