"Had high expectations since I heard good things about this place. The food is innovative but some dishes didn’t hit the mark for me. The corn, pork skewer and chicken were good. I would rate it as a 3.5/5 for the food. we were seated at the table next to the wall across the bar and I think it had an opening from outside. I was freezing and had to wear my jacket while eating. The cocktails were also good but not amazing."
"Service was great. Portion size is also great. All 3 dishes I had I found to be very tasty because it is so saucy. A good place to hang out with 3+ ppl."
"Wow oh wow! What a surprise box Kid Kyoto was for us. We had a great dining experience. The food was totally delicious and bursting with flavour. The cocktails were of high quality and made to perfection. The service was next level awesome….Caleb you were the bomb! Loved how attentive, smiley, welcoming and thorough you are. The love this guy puts into cleaning and setting up a table was highly admirable. So overall on a Tuesday night, our dining experience overall was 10/10. Thank-you."
"Went for a deluxe set. Very interesting fusion food. Creative indeed. Reasonable portion size. food is rather too tasty. Honey glazed and other sauces are just too sweet. Very friendly staff and know their food."
"I went here for an event pairing Archie Rose Whisky with the Kid Kyoto menu and had a great time. The front entrance is in Bridge Lane. The transfer from bustling streets to hidden back lane feels fun and adventurous. The decor is a combination of sophisticated and grungy Neo Japanese style in teal. The drinks menu is long (maybe a bit too long) but it ensures you have all your standard drinks plus a selection of specialised cocktails, sakes and Japanese whisky. There is also a good range of non-alcoholic options including mocktails, beer and wine. The food menu has a great range without being overwhelming. The food itself was really really delicious. They had vegetarian options that were as good as the meat and fish options. The food is decently priced for the quality you get. The stand outs for me were the dessert (white chocolate purin, rhubarb sorbet, matcha sable and strawberry); the figs with black sesame and chilli oil; and the corn ribs. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was excellent. I would definitely come here again."
